Washington (CNN) - On the same day Sarah Palin rallied cheering Tea Party crowds in Boston, she was also causing a stir hundreds of miles away - in Kentucky.
At issue is a contentious Kentucky Senate primary battle that pits Secretary of State Trey Grayson against Rand Paul, a physician and the son of former GOP presidential candidate and Texas Rep. Ron Paul.
Palin has already weighed in on the race, endorsing Paul and donating money to his campaign.
But Grayson apparently doesn't think the endorsement counts for much: On Wednesday, Grayson said the former Alaska governor is not qualified to be president.
Grayson was asked during an editorial board meeting with the Louisville Courier-Journal, "Is Sarah Palin qualified to be president of the United States?" His reply: "Not today."
He went on to point out that Palin was qualified to be vice president in 2008. "I think she had the position to be vice president, but she wasn't running for president," Grayson said. "I thought Sen. McCain was the best candidate to be president in the last election."
A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Tuesday indicates that President Barack Obama would top the former Alaska governor by double digits in a possible 2012 general election showdown, and that Palin comes in third in a hypothetical horserace for the next GOP presidential nomination.

When the President of the United States becomes a figurehead, like the mayor of Wasilla, or even the Governor of Alaska, then maybe, just maybe, our lil beauty queen can qualify. I do not, however, think that her failure to complete even one term in the governor's igloo will be forgotten.

After McCain finally figured out Palin is a total ditz, he still tried to salvage his campaign by hiding her from the press even if it meant that a ditz would be only an old man's heartbeat away from writing the nuclear launch codes on the palms of her hands. That is why McCain, and Palin are qualified to be president. This guy, with his illogical logic that Palin was qualified to be VP in 2008, but not to be Pres "today" makes about as much sense as Palin's "retard" double standard, therefore, he is also not qualified to hold public office! Is this the best the GOP has?

"hypothetical horserace"... yes, that's all we know [right now] and we can always theorize until the future becomes the present. How many things can be "theorized" before actually becoming "fact"? How many "pronosses" have become forgotten fodder? NOBODY in their right mind would think Palin was good at ANYTHING besides being a speaker for inciding hate. She is "pretty" but, looks fade and wisdom SHOULD overcome. She needs to go away. Her 15 minutes of "fame" is over and she has milked it for all it is worth. (Can you say $$$?) She may think she is qualified, the only thing she maybe qualified for is to work in a supermarket.
