Palin rallies Tea Partiers in Boston

(CNN) - Venturing to a Democratic stronghold, Sarah Palin praised Tea Party activists in Boston, Massachusetts, on Wednesday for "shaking up" the U.S Senate last January by helping elect Republican Scott Brown.

"Boston, if anybody knows how to throw a tea party it is you," Palin told a raucous crowd of activists that sprawled across the Boston Common.

Brown, who won the seat long held by the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, was notably absent from the event - a fact that generated snickering from some Tea Party opponents who question how much sway the grass-roots movement actually holds, especially in a Democratic state like Massachusetts.

But Tea Party Express leader Mark Williams told the crowd that he's happy the newly-elected senator is in Washington doing the job he was elected to do. Massachusetts is a "a blue-collar, working-stiff state ... we're reclaiming it for America," he added.

Meanwhile, Palin's 20-minute speech hit on many of the same themes that she has hammered during several recent appearances before Tea Party and Republican activists: high taxes, government spending, and spiraling deficits.

"We see what is on the horizon; we see what is at stake here," she said. "We are sending a message to Washington that come November, that big government, big debt, Obama-Pelosi-Reid spending spree … we are voting them out, we are gonna tell them, 'you're fired.'"

"Americans now spend 100 days out of the year working for government before they even start working for ourselves," she also said. "It is time to remind [politicians] that government should be working for us, we should not have to work for the government."

Palin said she is not calling the Obama administration "un-American."

"But the results are un-American," she said of the White House's policies. "If this is what their change is all about, I want to tell them, 'Nah, we'll keep clinging to our guns and religion and you can keep the change.'"

Palin's speech follows a similar appearance last week before the Southern Republican Leadership Conference. She also recently attended a Tea Party event in Searchlight, Nevada, the hometown of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Democrat locked in a close re-election fight.

The Tea Party is an absolute joke, and so is Palin

If by "un-American" you mean not part of the instant gratification, it's all about me, what's in it for me, I want it all and I don't want to share, step on anyone you have to in order to get ahead mentality that Americans have come to be known for worldwide, then, YES this administration is, indeed, "un-American". Our President asks us to give something in return for all that we get just for being lucky enough to be born in the United States. He asks us to sow so that we shall reap. He asks us to walk in the shoes of others before we judge them. He asks us to work together toward our common betterment. He asks us to contribute. He asks us to embody all that being American USED to entail before such selfish, hate-filled propagandists like leave-the-job-before-it's-finished-so-I-can-make-more-money-for-myself-PALIN showed up!

Can't wait to hear her complaints when she files her 2010 tax return on the + $12 million she's supposed to make this year. That should be fun.

Palin is so limited until she uses the same old song and dance but 66% of Americans are smart enough to know it's just the same old same old and they aren't buying into her.

Hmmmmmmmmm Half Gov. Palin flies around the country charging $100,000 plus dollars and 2 bottles of water with bent straws for people to hear her give a speech that she reads from a "Poor Mans Teleprompter", her hands. While she is raking in the big fees, her Sarah Pac takes in only $400,000 dollars and spends $409,000 dollars. Is she borrowing from her Sarah PAC or just doing a "Par for a politician" job of running it? She is complaining about how Dems are spending while Repubs did the same thing under Bush for 8 years and here she is doing the same type of spending in her very own Sarah PAC. She has to be in control of something so why don't we give her a couple of Nukes, without triggers, and a weeks supply of water and send her to the moon where she can set up her own government.

They took billions of surplus and ruined the economy. Am I wrong?

The real reason Scott Brown was absent is because he realizes how irrelevant the Tea Party is. You have to offer ideas and not just yell from the toilets of your RVs.

A "blue collared working stiff state"? Massachusetts is one of, if not the most educated state in the country! Most of the population there has healthcare because of Mitt "I'll lean whichever way the wind blows" Romney's healthcare proposal, which is very similar to the current healthcare proposal Republicans hate.

Massachusetts has one of the highest average wages for families, the best medical facilities in the country and one of the highest percentages of college graduates in the country.

So to the idiotic members of the tea party who want to "claim Massachusetts" back for the US, take your garbage and go somewhere else. Here, the people are actually smart enough to ignore you.

Anyone who goes to hear Sarah Palin speak is a moron. The blabber mouth went to five different colleges just to get a degree in journalism. What could she possible have to say that is worth hearing? Maybe she was searching for a college that sells degrees. I would love to know what her classmates thought of her. She resigned her position as governor only to become rich and famous. Now she has a following of sheetless klans waiting to hear her speak about nothing. Sarah Palin and her family have big bucks and may never need health care assistance, or suffer a shortage of income. Not only do the tea partiers look like poor red-necks, some of them look a little unhealthy to me. For example, some of them are overweight, and others are old and fragile. One would think that they could find a better method for unleashing all that bottled up hatred.

Another article states she donated less that 10K to other candidates. I thought she was going to give that 100K she received at a Tea Party speech back to the 'cause'. I think the only cause she cares about is her own pocket book.
In any case, Palin should rake in the attention and speaking fees while she can. As soon as her followers realize she is not going to run for president or any other office, they will lose interest and find another Obama basher to worship and fund. After all it is not Palin they really admire; it is ANYONE who tells them that being intelligent, educated and successful is a somehow bad thing.

Why anyone listens to this person is baffling. She is barely educated, quit her term as governor, uses violent rhetoric, is divisive, promotes false statements, half the time doesn't even make sense. She is clueless and is only seeking attention. I am quite happy with the hope and change that has happened over the last year, it is a far improvement over the 8 years prior!!! The economy is back on track, most american are paying lower taxes. Palin claiming she is the lord of deciding waht is american or american, just makes her more obvious that she just likes to hear herself talk.

scott brown is way to professional to be tied up with this crazy wacko. he is to smart to have his name linked with the hate and name calling that is attached to palin.
palin has NO credentials to be in politics, knows nothing about running of this country and brown knows this. palin simply draws the same crowd that hates our president [because he is of a differant color] and thinks the minority in this country should rule the majority.
ignorant people attract ignorant people such as the case of sarah palin.
i admire scott brown and think he is so far doing a good job in working with our president.

I feel pity for the citizens of Boston having this Faux prostitute coming to their wonderful city and fouling the ground of Boston Common. Sarah is raking in the dough, but she remains an absolute joke with no chance at elective office. Your own polling yesterday showed how poorly she would do in a match up against Obama. The screeching of this woman's voice gets on my very last nerve–I'll be so glad when her 15 minutes of fame is over.

We're all familiar with celebrities turned politicians (Reagan, Franken, Kemp), but is Sarah Palin the first politician turned celebrity? She obviously has no intention of ever going back to public service, as that would mean a tremendous pay cut and a huge pile of responsibilities.

It's fitting that the GOP in its twilight is being led by someone with no interest in governing, just in profiting.

Classic!!! She wears the infamous red leather jacket that was supposedly donated after the campaign. She wants to fire the President in his first term and she quits serving the great people of Alaska. She makes millions off of the "moms and pops" that she wants to save from being taxed-she would rather get their hard working gold. Palin is "Wall Street and Big bank greed" wrapped in a pretty leather wrapper. Drink the tea and chase it down with a cup of coffee. She is the "epitome" of being bailed out for her nonsense- and will soon be too big to fail if the Republicans don't wake up soon and realize that the country has changed. American MOM

Never thought there would be a day in America
that a person would be so hated for:
    Being a good looking woman.
    Being a heterosexual.
    Being God fearing.
    Believing in having a baby.
    Not backing down from anyone.
    Loving America.
Being able to fill a stadium for a speech.
Running a bunch of crooked Republcans
    out of office.
Having an 80% approval rating as a Governor.
    Being a good conservationist.
It just baffles the heck out of me.

Why is Ms. Palin standing in front of the bus? Why is she trying to mislead the public as if she rides this bus around the country.

Haven't the Republicans had enough of telling lies, making stuff up, and sizzle over substance?

The Americans that vote sure have.
