In Eugene, Palin says she eats granola too

Palin addressed a Republican fundraiser in Eugene, Oregon Friday.
Palin addressed a Republican fundraiser in Eugene, Oregon Friday.

(CNN) – Making light of the fact she was in one of America’s liberal bastions Friday night, Sarah Palin told attendees at an event in Eugene, Oregon she eats granola and organic food just like residents there do.

Speaking at the Lane County Republican's annual Lincoln Day Dinner, a major fundraising event for the organization, Palin told the crowd she’s more like people in Eugene than one might think.

“I eat granola. I eat a lot of organic food. I have to shoot and catch a lot of my organic food before I eat it,” the former Republican vice presidential nominee joked, according to the Oregonian.

Palin’s remarks also included the red meat jabs at Democrats that have become characteristic of her speeches this year, telling the crowd its OK for Republicans to be the “Party of No.”

"When the other party's wrong, we stiffen our spines," She told a crowd numbering 900, according to the Oregonian. "Why not be the party of not just no, but hell no.”

SARAH PALIN = "I'll say anything, or go anywhere for money. I'll quick my low paying $258,000.00 Governorship commitment to the people of Alaska, to make $15-million dollars touring the U.S. falsely claiming President Obama:
(a.) – pals around with terrorist,
(b.) – was 'not' born in Hawaii therefore not an American,
    (c.) – is 'not' a Christian, but a Muslim,
    (d.) – is a Marxist,
(e.) – wants to take my guns.

THIS IS WHAT SARAH PALIN IS ALL ABOUT.

Geesh, you guys really don't like her at all. I like the on about the slap in the mouth. But you are right. She has nothing to offer and to let a loose nut into the Oval office would be a terrible shame to our Country. Why do people entertain her. She is a racist and a red neck. Who cares about her. The more I read about her the dummer I get. She is a lost case. Obama 2010. I made my choice.

It's not the "No" itself that is the problem. It's what the no modifies. No morals, No Ideas, No compassion, No scruples, No negotiation, No compromise, No accountability, etc...

The Republican Party was once respectable. It had dignity, intelligence, common sense, and common decency.

Now it has Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Anne Coulter, and Bill O'Reilly to gin up paranoia among the clueless and the gullible.

What would Lincoln, TR, Eisenhower, Goldwater, and Reagan think?

There is no Republican Party now. There is just a large group of babbling fools masquerading as Republicans who could not tell the difference between Marxism and Groucho Marx.

Sarah Palin is the Queen Babbler.

If Palin is such a non threat to Democrats, why do you all panic and carry on every time she speaks? Why does the media dismiss her, yet follow her every move? Why must every word she speaks be dissected?

Out of fear? of what? this tells me you are not as sure of Obama's re-election as you'd like to be. The insecurity from these posts is staggering. Try to relax about Palin, she isn't going to unseat your guy. But someone might, someone not evident yet. It may end up to be a vote against Obama, not for the Republican. Sort of like people voting for Jimmy Carter, the non-Nixon. That's the cool thing about American politics.

Funny how she rented the SMALLEST hall Hilton has here in Eugene! My question is, who COULDN'T sell out 800 tickets here? We're suckers for enertainment!

"At $250 a head, the party has sold out the Eugene Hilton hall where Palin will speak. The hall seats about 800 {even though, it took about a month}.

Seventy people who donated {bribed} $1,000 will get a photo with Palin and a signed copy of her book. Reporters can watch on video, but can't use recording devices."

And in recent polling, when Republicans were asking whom was their choice for 2010, with Sarah not even coming in 2nd place on many polls it's clear they're saying Hell No to Sarah lol

Palin is simply stupid, especially if she thinks that I care about her views on anything. She's from the same mold as Hannity, Beck, and Bimbaugh. She mis-states, exagerates, and out and out lies.

Just asking .... would the same words make the republicans swoon if they were coming out of a plain looking woman or a short, fat man?

Her "fans" (word comes from the base word fanatic) ignore she's a quitter, thinks a palm pilot means writing your notes on your hand & the VP of the USA runs the Senate!

"Sarah Palin is laughing all the way to the bank. She is making millions on her time in the spotlight."

Susie, of course Sarah is laughing all the way to the bank. The only people dumb enough to buy her schtick are the Tea Party crew. While they're harping about lost wages, etc, they're spending their money on Sarah's books, bumper stickers, etc. I'm sure Sarah is meeting up with her staff in the board room of her favorite PR Firm, Bristol Palin, Inc. to figure out a way to squeeze more cash from the Tea Party. I have no doubt that they'll try to register Sarah as an official religion of the Tea Party so that Sarah won't have to pay taxes on said income.

@ KLJTb You Lie! Come on – you didn't vote for Obama..... b/c you think SP is someone to listen to but the beauty queen will not even answer questions off script... Come on and fess up.... You are a teabagger and Sarah is the wolf in sheep clothing!

She demands questions be screened in advance. She quit the governorship in Alaska just so she could make more money. She blamed McCain for her defeat. She blamed Katie Couric for her embarrassment. She's refused to endorse legislation to decriminalize marijuana even though she's smoked it. And she routinely snipes at others, without any substance, behind a wall of PR sycophants and handlers.
I guess the Lane County Republican Party doesn't mind its leader being an idiot.

  23. marlene the dream

Niki – liberals only listen because the more she talks, the more tic marks we can make in the Democrat column. HAHAHAHA. You go girl!

I've never witnessed anyone so scary and polarizing in American politics in my lifetime. She wants to send a young man to prison for hacking her email account and garners sympathy by blaming it on interference with communication with her children. So a high level politician would have serious problems contacting anyone? Or maybe it's about the fact that he exposed her inappropriate use of her personal email account for state business . . of course she's not talking about that.
She is a disgusting liar, always has been & always will be.
