Washington (CNN) – President Obama lends a helping hand to his party Thursday night, as he attends a fundraiser in the nation's capitol.
According to a Democratic source, the dinner, held at a private residence, is expected to bring in over a $1 million for the Democratic National Committee.
Earlier this month, the president headlined two fundraisers in Los Angeles for the DNC and Sen. Barbara Boxer of California, and two party fundraisers in Miami. A Democratic source says those four events brought in at least $5.5 million.
In mid-May, the president travels to New York to headline a fundraiser for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, according to another Democratic source.

wasn't it Obozo who was going to "get the money out of politics'??
...And the bribes continue, Obama style.
That is a lot of money that has been donated by "50% of the non-tax paying entitlement parasites".
Looks like Dems do work and earn a good living, unlike the picture painted by the neo-cons.
i wish he worked for the american people as hard as he does to get people elected then maybe the unemployment wouldnt be 10 %
I hope the Democratic Party does not forget to send Thank You NOtes to "Half Gov. Sarah Palin", J.D. Hayworth and many others in the Republican Party who contributed through their "GAFFS" in an effort to drive people to the ranks of the Democratic Party. They need to send a special Thank You to the Gov. of Arizona and the Arizona Legislature.
"President helps party bring in bucks." Wow, I didn't know he was a deer hunter. This should help his standing with the NRA.
The fund-raiser-in-chief strikes again. There's change you can believe in. None. After all, it's all about Obama and the Democratic party.
@ Obama the Liar
I see you've had your daily dose of haterade. How's that drill baby drill working out for ya?
Hey Obama the Liar – get over it, the GOP holds fundraisers too – that is how the system works. Of course, you must have been thinking about the GOP went you referenced bribes, right?
Play nice now Dutch. You don't have to make them look dumber than they already are. Lmao
These are great. I hope he can schedule in Democratic fundraisers all over the country 7 days a week.
Any day he is preoccupied with something other than dreaming up new entitlements or new government growth programs is a good day for the American taxpayer.

Don't get too excited, Dutch. 2 weeks prior to the rig incident, Obama was talking about opening up the Virginia coast for off shore drilling! Forgot that didn't you?
All you Obama critics should go see
CASINO JACK and the United States of Money
This portrait of Washington super lobbyist Jack Abramoff—from his early years as a gung-ho member of the GOP political machine to his final reckoning as a disgraced, imprisoned pariah—confirms the adage that truth is indeed stranger than fiction. A tale of international intrigue with Indian casinos, Russian spies, Chinese sweatshops, and a mob-style killing in Miami, this is the story of the way money corrupts our political process.
Then look in the mirror !
I am going to turn Obam's words around him... yesterday he asked if it is possible that someone "makes too much money"... well I am asking him...is it possible that politicians take too much campaign contributions? I know, stupid question.
Most in this country have it backwards... corporate America is not buying DC. DC is extorting them. Just Lehman Bros, who gave significantly less in campaign contributions than Goldman's... and we all saw how that turned out.
Yes we can,and better yet,we will.hahaha
If you can't beat us, join us. There's plenty of room with arms wide open to welcome you to the Democrat Party.
Why on earth do GOP guys still talk? What happened to their 8 years in office with master Cheney and errand dude Bush??? Make my day!
President Obama knows how to raise the money we need to defeat the loons. Nice work!
Yep, he is very good at funneling large sumes of money through apparent small donations. I really wish some of you so called investigative reporters out threr would get the guts to follow the money trail of those small donations.
Now I just don't understand this.
After the election Obama said
"I am everyone's President."
He says he is the champ of bipartisanship.
Well, if that's so why doesn't he
ever attend a fundraiser for Republicans.
Now would one of you good democrats
out there explain to me why he always sides
against the Republicans but at the same
time is the CHAMP of bipartisanship.
But he never ever helps to raise money for
his Republican friends. And he has never ever
thought a Republican idea was a good one.
Makes me think he is just the President of NO !!!
