A federal jury in Tennessee has so far found a 22 year-old man guilty on two of four counts in a case that involved hacking into Sarah Palin's e-mail account.

(CNN) - In their fourth day of deliberations, a federal jury in Tennessee has so far found a 22 year-old man guilty on two of four counts in a case that involved hacking into Sarah Palin's e-mail account nearly two years ago when she was the vice presidential nominee.

The jury has determined David Kernell, 22, is guilty on felony charges of intentionally accessing Palin's e-mail account without authorization and obstructing an FBI investigation, the Knoxville News Sentinel reports.

Meanwhile, the jury acquitted Kernell on a third charge of wire fraud and remains divided over the fourth charge of identity theft.

It's unclear if the district court judge will order the jurors will order the jury to continue their deliberations, according to the News Sentinel.

In a statement on her Facebook page, Palin said she and her family are "thankful that the jury thoroughly and carefully weighed the evidence and issued a just verdict."

"Besides the obvious invasion of privacy and security concerns surrounding this issue, many of us are concerned about the integrity of our country’s political elections. America’s elections depend upon fair competition." she also wrote. "Violating the law, or simply invading someone’s privacy for political gain, has long been repugnant to Americans’ sense of fair play."

He broke the law and will be punished for it. Funny how Palin hasn't ever addressed that he exposed her skirting the records retention laws in using an outside email account her state business.

I'm glad he's been found guilty and I hope he does some serious time. Hopefully this will deter other hateful left wing extremists.

I hope they throw the book at him–Palin and her family have been smeared enough by the Media and the left..This was far from a "harmless prank". People have lost everything because of people like this spoiled leftist brat..his parents should be held responsible, also...

That'll teach the smug 20-something liberal know-it-all. Some prison time will wipe the smirk off his priviledged face, and daddy can't save him.

    SpoutingHorn asked
"Are Obama pals Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers smarter than she?". This is a perfect example of republican hate that people are so tired of. Ayers and Wright are completely irrelevant to anything here but he just throws them out as a means of attack. Also, the accusation of Obama being "pals" with Ayers has been thoroughly debunked. But as long it sounds negative, the truth matters little to such anti-Obama pseudo- conservatives.

Speaking of know it all, you seem to know he was a liberal democrat, and you seem to know his family's income.

Actually, I thought you were describing Bush Jr.

What about all the other computers that are hacked into. If you are going to post on a non-secure web site, then expect someone to get access to it.

I don't understand why he hacked into her account. Why didn't he just ask her for her passord? She would have been dumb enough to give it to him.

If Palin had a heart, she would ask the judge for a reduced sentence. But she doesn't, therefore he's screwed. Sorry kid.
