Washington (CNN) - Remember the 1994 "Contract with America" that propelled Republicans back into the majority of the House of Representatives with its author Newt Gingrich as their speaker?

Well, 16 years later, it's back to the future - the GOP is again drafting a blueprint designed to take back control of Congress. But this time, it is looking for authors everywhere, and if you want help write the 2010 GOP "Commitment to America," you can take out your iPhone or BlackBerry and point your browser to a new GOP website coming soon.

House Republicans are teaming up with what they call a "major U.S. software giant" to hold an interactive discussion with people wherever and whenever they want to talk, blog or tweet.

The GOP is nothing but garbage. I'll enjoy watching them fade into oblivion.

The people of this party know what a Blackberry is? Or for that matter a blog or a tweet?
They must have taken some kind of tech class I guess. Welcome to 2010 Republicans.

The very first "Commitment To America" should be a simple one: "We will not lie or distort the truth or spread fear to the American people" How many members of the GOP would sign that statement? The answer is "0". So much for their Commitment To America.

Vote NO in NOvember to the party of NO.

The 1994 "Contract with America" was total baloney, and this is no better. The Repukes have already demonstrated that they don't give a rat's patoot about anybody but their bigshot corporate buddies, and increasing their profits, and anybody who believes their nonsense and lies has his head in the sand.

hmm. Did it work the first time? Got back power, yes. But results afterwards? Seriously like to see real comments on this in both respect. Would be a good debate.

We commit to adhere to the U.S. Constitution.
We commit to securing our borders.
We commit to cutting the federal government back to its original size and scope.
We commit to a balanced budget amendment for the federal government.
We commit to term limits on elected officials.
We commit to bringing our troops home, and permanently retire from being policeman to the world...
We commit to ... (add on people!)

Commitment to the Party of no is what this will turn out to be. What they're saying is that we haven't listened to the people yet and we'll lead you to beleive that we will start. What a pandering joke!

Actions speak louder than words and no amount of technology or attempts at "re-packaging" can hide the truth about the GOP. Commit to action that leads to getting out of bed with corporate America and stopping the destruction of the middle class. And the disinformation and dirty tricks tactics, commit to giving them up also.

    Oh, God!
First the put out a contract on America and almost plunged us into another Great depression with their policies of deregulation and tax breaks to the richest Americans...

Now they are making a commitment to America????

What are they committing to do – finish the jib and destroy America??

People, the Republicans talk a great talk, but they care only for the wealthy. If you are wealthy – they are on your side. However, if you are middle-class or poor, they will take away your jobs, and they will certainly take away the health care security you just got!

Wake up, fools! Wake up before it is too late...The Republicans have never balanced a budget – the Democrats have. With all of their faults, its the Democrats who look out for the poor and the middle-class!

Don't be fooled by Republican talk of God and Morality – they respect neither! They just use that to entrap well-meaning people so they could get into power and take care of their wealthy corporations!

Is this better late than never!! The Dems are 3 years ahead of the system.

How about commitment to helping the middle class and the poor?!

How about helping people who are alive instead of those who have not been conceived?!

How about solving problems instead of creating them?

How about equality for all Americans no matter their nationality or their gender?

Oh wait, lower taxes and less government will solve all our problems... NOT!!

A commitment from a Republican doesn't mean much. All you have to do is look at the mess they started.

We need to make sure that we teach the real history of the last 100 years in all of our schools so that we may never repeat the mistake of electing a national socialist as president again.

If all Americans knew what happened 70 years ago under a different socialist dictator, then we would know that we don't want this for our nation.

Commitment? Indeed. The GOP should all be committed to a you-know-what hospital.

Commitment TO America? If the GOP ever got back into power, then America should be committed. The GOP hates America! They hate everything America stands for. They prove it over and over again.

The LAST thing America needs is the GOP in control of Congress. We can't afford them, our position as a country can't take their dismantling any further, and our Constitutional rights are still being reinstated after 8 years of being destroyed by Bush and Company.

I'll send them a nice email about how nice America is without them, anybody that is stupid enough to believe that these jokers real care about our country must be drunk out of their mind, they will say anything to get back in power, take it from me our new NJ Governor is all out for himself, he has done nothing to help the middleclass in NJ the people he is looking out for are the very rich.
