(CNN) - Regarding Arizona's new immigration law, a leader of a Hispanic advocacy group said Thursday that the law "is so unjust, and it's so beyond the pale," that a boycott of Arizona is needed.

Clarissa Martinez of the National Council of La Raza explains why with CNN Radio's Bob Costantini

That's OK. For every dumb schmuck who is boycotting AZ, there are 2 supports who are BUYcotting AZ.

I support AZ's law and applaud them for taking action against illegal alliens.

People need to think about what this could mean. Is everyone is subject to a fine for not having id on them? How is that even considered constitutional? It`s a bad law but it seems people will have to find out the hard way

Ruty: I agree with your statement. Arizona had enough of illegals and its time to clean house and send them back to Mexico. Think they deserve the same rights as U.S. citizens of this country. They are taking the jobs from us and people that are laid off their jobs cannot find work because of the illegals. Texas and California should definately sign a bill in law like Arizona. And they will kill like they did that farmer in Arizona and shot a sheriff. This country has three big prisons that have never been used. They should put them in those prisons when they capture them and sentence them to 15 long years for crossing the border. And give the Cartels life when they capture them.

As a Mexican American i think Arizona is doing the right to protect its state. They understand that nowadays we do not know who is crossing our boarders. And all the drugs and guns.Just like that guy in new york city planed an attack. We need to keep those kind of people out of our country. We all have to make sacrifices. And if your a hard working American than you have to understand that the only way your going to keep your job is to keep our country safe.No matter what race you are we all live in this country for a reason.

These foreignors are in the country because of Ted Kennedy who had president Johnson make a new bill allowing them to come in. Eisenhower had a signed bill blocking them. We need to stop letting them come into this country and don't give them citizenship. Eisenhower was right. This country is in ruins because of them. Enough is enough. We need to now draw the line and form a bill blocking them from entering.

I think its funny that the SEIU is boycotting Arizona. This "Workers of the world unite" socialist labor union is attempting to wield its "power" through protests in a state that 70pct of the population across the board are okay with this illegal immigration law recently passed. Let La Raza, SEIU continue to show the American people their true colors and their socialist agenda to reshape or "transform" our nation into another Greece. Who do you think is calling the demonstrations in Greece, the two major labor unions who will lose all their cradle to grave entitlements and the communist party supporters there. The European model of socialism doesn't work and that is why it won't work here in the U.S. because most people with common sense understand the difference.

Hey Dan, if you are not of White 'white' (Aryan if there is such a thing) or Black or Indian or Asian Ancestry – but still a US born CITIZEN – then this bill says that you MUST keep 24/7 with a document that proves just that, your citizenship. If you are of White, Black, Indian or Asian Ancestry you don't have really to worry about it, much.
That's why the bill is unconstitutional.
2nd class citizenship ended a long long time ago man.
If the Arizona lawmakers, in their haste to solve a legitimate problem, forgot them then its up to the SCOTUS and everybody else to remember them that.

any time a bill has repercussions that could effect innocent people . It is bad I understand the frustration and hope we can find a solution. What people fail to understand is that if the police are able to stop people and ask for citizenship papers then how many other groups might it effect. How much power should a civil group have? And are they protected against harrasement and civil suites.? Can they stop people for drinking coke or wearing glasses or having blond hair. Who decides what groups we target in the future and for what behaviors? Many cities can stop you from smoking in public. Is that an infringment on your rights? Carrying a gun in public is ok some places but what about the person who finds that it makes him nervious to see people carring guns. Sounds like the local government is infringing on peoples rights. And leaving it's police force open to civil suites and complaints.

About what rufy is saying, i think he or she must know a lot of people in the jail, because when you make a statement like that, you mean that "all the illegals are mexicans" , "all the people who are making the streets dirty are illegals" and "all the dirty mexicans must go to jail". Let me tell to "all the clean, free, americans " that this is just grong, unfair and very, very unamerican, but is not very new, because if you read a little in the history of this country, the same was said in behalf of the "dirty itallians, the "uneducates and barbarian irish" and so on.

What's the problem here? Stop crying all of you irrational leftie nuts! They are simply trying to enfore the law for crying out loud. The federal government is so cowardly they won't do it. Our country is being invaded by leeches who do not pay taxes yet they take from our screwed up system! There is a legal way to come to this country and become a citizen. What in the hell is wrong with enforcing the law? We need Americans who are willing to stand guard on the border with their own weapons and shoot them as they invade our country! Rest assured they would stop coming. If the federal government won't stop it who will? Guess they are too busy ramming through unconstitutional legislation and finding more ways to bend us over! Wake up people start using your brains!

Public anger will speak louder than a handful of lawmakers sigining a bigot bill into law. This will be overturned and thrown out after the Supreme Court rules and Arizona is faced with unpayable lawsuits.
