Buffalo, New York (CNN) - President Barack Obama sampled some of Buffalo's finest Thursday when he stopped at a local restaurant for chicken wings on his trip to New York.

The president at first ordered 10 medium wings and fries, then changed his order to five regular and five extra crispy on the advice of a customer at Duff's Famous Wings.

Obama, in town to visit a metal fabrication plant as part of his "White House to Main Street" tour, also shook hands and autographed t-shirts - and even held a baby - as he waited among the 40 or so patrons.

When given his to-go order, the president paid the $14.90 bill.

Well, we all are soooooooooo happy that Obama is enjoying those wings in Buffalo while he's done NOTHING for those poor souls in TN that have been devastated by all the flooding. Last I heard there have been 31 deaths and cold hearted Obama has said or done nothing for them. What a mistake of a President this country has.

I LOVE wings. Remember when Bush Sr. tried to buy a greeting card, and he didn't give the clerk enough money. Oh, the good old days of pampered, out of touch Presidents.

What an insult! Duff's is an imposter. Obama was visiting Buffalo NY, and if he wanted real wings, The Anchor Bar was where he belonged. Was the Secret Service too timid to take him down Main Street? He should have scrapped protocol, junked the limo, and walked from city hall to the Anchor Bar and shook hands along the way. THAT would have meant something to people in Buffalo. This pre-packaged itinerary photo-op crap is garbage. Man up, meet the people, press the flesh, and eat genuine wings.

That is so wonderful of the liar in chief, the people in Tennessee who are suffering are lining up at the Red Cross for their next meal and Obozo has not even acknowledged them.

Floods, tornadoes, terrorist attacks, 15 million workers without a job, the economy in the tank, national debt at $13 trillion and rising and where is Obama?
Out on his "Main Street Tour"! He thinks he is a rock star.

  8. All the news that is fit to omit

Better not tell Shelly, FRIES and WINGS, not good.

The gutless fraud liberal food POlice headed by Shelly, will be sending you "notification" Barry, so be prepared for fines and stoning in village square.

Hey Barry, are we in Massachusetts "misguided" by arresting these TERRORISTS and ILLEGAS in Mass today or is it just like AZ, ICE and the FBI doing their jobs...

You know Barry, probable cause equals questions of ID and therefore ILLEGAL alien status was DETERMINED JUST LIKE AZ WANTS TO DO...

Hope you enjoy your wings while the rest of us do OUR JOBS.

That's how you do it Mr. President; diversity and variety is the order of the day even with chow. Something the Republicans know NOTHING about. I like that you paid your tab as you always do to help small businesses trying to make it through this receeding recession Bush left us in. Keep up the excellent work and we'll make sure you are re-elected in 2012!

Well... Let me put that in my diary. "Obama had wings for lunch on 5/13/2010 and paid $14.90 for them." There, all done. Now we will never forget this wonderful and endearing aspect of Obama. I just wish one of his endearing qualities was a love for America.

Does Mrs. Obama approve of his food selection? These are the types of
"non-healthy" foods she and the government will be targeting for "controls", to better "protect the children". Hey Mr. President, nothing like a smoke after consumin' grease-soaked wings, washed down with a sugary soda or cold ale! Yes, ain't that America, STILL home of the free!

Its strange that Obama claims he wants jobs but he domonizes business and does everything he can do to promote unions. Business' create jobs unions destroy them.

That shows how down-to-earth the man is. He waited in line and he paid his own bill. I'm quite sure he was offered the food for free, but he's a classy guy and did not "abuse" his power. I heard that when Princess Diana took her sons out to eat, she also made them wait in line like every other person. That's call humility. The President should have gone to the Anchor Bar, the original home of Buffalo Wings. He also could have stayed around for some great jazz music. I loved living in Buffalo. Back in the 70's, it was probably the best kept secret in the USA, snow and all. Lots of culture, music and good food. You were two hours from Toronto and 15 minutes from the Falls. Beautiful people there too.
