(CNN) - Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin joined the national battle over Arizona's controversial new immigration law Saturday, appearing with Gov. Jan Brewer in Phoenix to denounce the Obama administration's criticism of the law.

"It's time for Americans across this great country to stand up and say 'We're all Arizonans now and, in clear unity, we say Mr. President, do your job, secure our border,'" Palin said, standing beside Brewer at a Saturday afternoon press conference.

Brewer used the event to announce her first appointment to the state's new Joint Border Security Advisory Committee and the launch of a website to combat what she said was a national misinformation campaign about the state's new law.

Palin and Brewer, both Republicans, decried plans by opponents of the new law to boycott the state in protest.

Palin – there's a stool and a cold Oly waiting for you in Wasilla. Why don't you go home and leave governance to the adults.

She is absolutey correct and it is just plain common sense. Almost every country around the world protects its borders and has SEVER punishment for those who violates the borders. Ask the US hikers or the reporters working for AL Gore. We have people trying to destroy our country and they can easily slip across the southern border without a problem at all and you ignorant libs don't want our borders closed. Liberalism IS without a doubt a mental disorder!

Captain Crunch to Palin: Learn some government! Both Bush and McCain offered annesty. Where was your (fake) outrage then?

Every time this half-term governor speaks, two things become obvious; how we dodged a bullet by voting against her for Vice President and how poor McCain's judgment was in choosing her as his running mate.

    Sarah,
Go home and do your job. Take care of your kids. The rest of us are not interested in what you think.

It amazes me that so many people are following a quitter. I was brought up in a traditional family and i was taught to never quit. Why do people want a quitter backing them up. I pray she wins the gop nom. for president in 12. Obama will win and he wont even have to be on the campaign trail. Go quitter

This half governor is telling others to do their job!!!!! Did she finish her job which she was assigned for? GOP are going to regret very much continuing using her. Do they think she is a serious person?

According to the recent poll conducted on immigration, 64% of the people in this country agree with the Arizona law. Keep hating, it will just fuel a bigger Dem loss in November.

It is funny how these folks act as if illegal immigration and drug trafficking are problems that just cropped up last week. Where was all their phony outrage during the 8 years of W?

Odd that Sarah would tell the president to do his job when she, instead of doing HER job, quit! She is a phoney, lacks intelligence and is the main reason McCain lst the last election. If she gets nominated to represent the party in the next election she will lose big. If Sarah wants to help this country she will drop out of sight and stop talking.

The woman doesn't know what she is talking about. Mexicans are leaving this country in mass, no jobs. If the small business owners didn't hire them and pay them under the table and cheat the US taxpayer they would be here, either. It is high time that these small business owners are held accountable. They even pay Americans to work under the table, so no FDIC or withholding. I have paying for over 50 years, because, frankly, I will not work off the books.

Bush/Cheney/Rummy/McSongbird had 8 years to secure borders, but chose to spend all our money on 2 wars and get our young people killed in IRAQ.

Why didn't THEY do anything but wars for 8 years??

    WHY??

Captain Crunch; Bush is history and you are right and Bush was wrong by not securing our borders. Obama won't even address the issue unless it's open borders– he like the other democrats want the vote of these people to keep them in office. Palin was talking about our present president not the one before her. Bush has no say in what is going on at the borders now.

Obama would rather have this as an issue to divide this country than do something about the problem. He's hoping to increase his Latino vote turnout inthe next election.Always thinking ahead.

Sarah Palin – DO YOUR JOB – GOVERN ALASKA! You quit your job to cash in on celebrity and you have the gall to tell this President to do his? He inherited the worst economy in a century from your party, two wars, a dying earth, a political atmosphere that is devisive and decaying, and a world view of the USA that believes we are the planet's biggest lauging stock; all because of GOP extremists. This man is doing an amazing job to fix all of the problems your dear friends caused.

Sarah Palin is a joke and becomes more and more annoying every time she opens her mouth. CNN loves celebrities, so they publish every word whe says as if she was Thomas Jefferson.

Palin needs to direct her remarks at McCain. I believe McCain has been in Wahington longer than Obama. He let this build up in his state. His state should vote him out. Where has he been all t hose years?
Palin will say or do anything that gains her money or clout. McCain will do anything to gain him political capital. Both need to shut up and get out. Palin doesn't know what she believes on issues, someone tells her what to say. And we could have had this woman for VP????!!!! She does not have the intellect to be a leader.
She is all SHOW SHOW SHOW!

Great idea Palin, but the problem here is Obama doesn't know how to do his job. And he's not about to close those border because it's all about votes to Obama and not protecting the American citizen.
