(CNN) - Tuesday's primary contests will put the nation's anti-Washington mood to the test as voters choose between incumbents and anti-establishment candidates.
The races come in the wake of some tough blows to sitting lawmakers: Sen. Bob Bennett, a three-term senator, failed to advance at the Utah GOP convention, and Rep. Alan Mollohan didn't win over fellow Democrats in last week's West Virginia primary.
Leaders of both parties agree - it's a tough year for experienced politicians.
"There is no question. There is, at this moment, an anti-incumbent mood," said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California. And House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, warned, "It's 'politicians beware.' "
The only reason this has taken off is Fox TV trying to make you forget that Conservatives can't govern. It's not the incumbents but Conservatives that must go. Bush /Chaney and Rove proved Conservatives can't make rational decisions. They ran the White House like a frat party for corporate America. Since they have been out of office they have not worked for the American people just take their pay and their Federal Health Insurance Plan and worry only about winning. We can never let them run the country , congress or the senate. Moderate and intelligent Republicans need to take back their party away from Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. They stack up very poorly against well spoken and intelligent President Obama.
We have Term Limits...it's called VOTING! Do your duty and VOTE THESE INCOMPETENT INCUMBENTS OUT. The career policticians have ruined our future, destroyed our liberties and empowered the lobbyists. TAKE AMERICA BACK!!!!! They all promise CHANGE. Let's give it to them!
There's a saying: "Diapers and Politicians should be changed frequently and for the same reason". Change the POLITICAL DIAPERS!!!!
Take Action, VOTE!!!!
It's not anti-incumbent. Let's not spin this.
It's anti those who have supported the out of control spending, which includes most Dems in Congress and will catch some Republicans. Bennett merely supported the TARP spending to bail out banks and corporate friends. And although implemented under both Bush and Obama, this indicates just how sensitive voters are to the spending / deficit issue.
Let's see. . . who's up for re-election who also supported ObamaCare, the stimulus package as well as TARP?
Oh, how soon we forget! We have found the "enemy"; and the enemy is US...What's new, America !!! Nothing!!!
If I thought it would change anything, I might consider it. But the way the system is set up, anyone going to Washington is beholden to his/her contributors, most of whom are big business. So even if they do go with the best of intentions, it never lasts. If it did, they'd be voted out after their first term!
I would and will, however, vote every single incumbent out of the New York State Legislature.
Okay, I'll play:
We deserve whatever we get. We finally have competency, compassion and brains in a President and all we do is slam him over and over. We are ridiculous people! Folks abroad are shaking their heads in complete amazement at our lack of support for THE ONLY PERSON consistently doing their job to the utmost and concerned about saving thid country. Yes, that would be President Obama.
The President deserves better. A show of support at least.
Now that Tuesday has arrived (tomorrow), I'm waiting to see if my opinion and assumption is correct with the coming votes. Americans are so fickled and cannot seem to hold a thought longer then the next "what's in it for me" or "what have you done for me lately". The people that were sent to Congress in 2008/2009 are the same people we have today. Whatever progress they atempted to do was blocked/obstructed by the very people you now want to place back into office or control of congress.
If you remember that far back, the health care debates, the demonstrations, the name callings etc..do you not now see that there has been no take over by the government of health care, President Obama has not taken one person's gun, no individual or group has been sent to a libersl contrived gulag for indoctrination.
We are still a strong nation with freedom to pursue whatever indeavor we choose. So for you knuckle draggers out there, wake up and see the country for what it is, not what you want it to return to.
if they are in they are out.....i will vote for anyone that is not thier now.....they all lied to us and they are not representing any americns they pass laws that are not what the people want so get ride of them
