Washington (CNN) – Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin arrived in Boise, Idaho on Friday to stump for House candidate Vaughn Ward - but her luggage didn't.
Speaking to a crowd Boise's Qwest Arena, Palin touted the conservative credentials of the Republican congressional hopeful, but also revealed that her outfit, a blue jacket and black dress, was not her own.
"This morning my luggage didn't arrive, so about an hour ago I was sitting backstage in sweats, tennis shoes, and man this is just so me it seems like," Palin told the crowd.
"I'm in borrowed clothes, again. Anybody who followed the VP trail … yep," Palin joked, alluding to controversial purchases made by Republican National Committee to fill out her wardrobe during the 2008 presidential campaign.
After Palin's luggage failed to arrive Friday morning, a Ward campaign volunteer bought Palin's temporary outfit and was later reimbursed for the purchase, Ward spokesman Mike Tracy told CNN affiliate KTVB.
Palin will continue her western swing Saturday, making a stop in Denver, Colorado.
Ward, who touts Palin's endorsement at the top of his campaign website, is facing off against state Rep. Raul Labrador in next week's GOP primary.
Not news! Not important. Not interesting. Yep!
would someone please explain the perverse fascination with this broad, especially cnn?
Jeff Jackson: The women in your town must really ugly for you to think that, or perhaps you aren't too attractive yourself.
"so about an hour ago I was sitting backstage in sweats, tennis shoes, and man this is just so me it seems like," Palin told the crowd.
Riiiiiiiiight. We're supposed to believe they lost her luggage while she was either in first class or on a private plane?
Oh, poor millionaire. Go right another book.
The only thing more pathetic than another meaningless Palin story (at least 1 or 2 a day) is the # of hate comments from liberals.
Wow, all these Palin haters! How old are you folks? Were you all bullied as children? Maybe you'll never grow up.
And this is why the loony left is only a tiny minority in this country. Thank God.
Ken in NC obviously didn't read (or maybe can't read). Her luggage was lost, so she borrowed clothes. What is the big deal? Do you really think she had time to go out and buy something? Someone did her a favor and she paid them back.
I would do the same thing if a speaker lost their luggage regardless of who it is. It's called common courtesy.
GI Joe – Do you know for a fact that she flew in a private plane? Or are you just making things up? ALL luggage goes into the same cargo space in a commercial aircraft. I guess you don't fly enough to know better.
It just seems to me that you're all petty, pathetic, lonely, self-loathing people who like to hide behind a computer and criticize everyone else. You really need a life. Or a job. Or something else to do.
Ho hum, why is this news. Everybody loses their luggage (at least temporarily) almost always happens. That lady is an attention getter period. Craves attention. Better tell Lockheart on Harry Potter to get his sister back to fantasy land.
Sarah, who cares? Why should the world be interested in what you wear? Go back to Alaska and simply show up for work. Oh, that's right, you took your obligation to Alaskan voters to perform on their behalf and simply QUIT on them...
Sarah Palin IS LOST! Sadly, she does not even know it!
Very fitting mishap...its ironic as even palins ideas arent even hers...
A day without sarah is like a day without Halitosis
.... and this is news because?
I too have had my luggage lost while traveling. So this makes me empathized with her and now I get it! Besides, the bags were most likely lost because a good for nothing immigrant touched them.
I doubt the sweats she was wearing backstage were from WalMart, Sears,... that assistant must have had to hustle to get to Bloomies or where ever people with that kind of money buy clothes.
Maybe we are looking at this the wrong way, her luggage is not lost, it just saw the opportunity to jump ship and ran awar from her. I am sure that those bags are having a much happier life in some corner of a dingy warehouse in Cincinnati, or Tulsa... or more likely she left them behind in Aspen or Alta or some other rich people place she now like to hang out in.
... jeez! talk about non-news, not a day goes by that we have to hear about some crap from her. You just prepping her for 2012, ain't ya?
