Washington (CNN) - Vowing to continue to "underwrite global security" - but not alone - the Obama administration Thursday released its first National Security Strategy, a 52-page outline of the president's strategic approach and priorities.
The NSS, required by Congress of every administration to be prepared every four years, for the first time combines homeland security and national security, focusing not only on threats internationally but on the threat of home-grown radicals inspired and recruited by al Qaeda.
"We view this as an important and emerging challenge," Ben Rhodes, deputy national security adviser for strategic communication, told reporters. Al Qaeda, he said, is less capable of using safe havens for training abroad and is now "trying to inspire Americans to carry out attacks on the U.S."
Those Americans, he said, may have less direct contact with the terrorist organization but they carry American passports and know the strengths and weaknesses of the United States.
"Several recent incidents of violent extremists in the United States who are committed to fighting here and abroad have underscored the threat to the United States and our interests posed by individuals radicalized at home," the NSS states. "Our best defenses against this threat are well informed and equipped families, local communities and institutions."

And so we begin, the Obama adminstration will now turn on US citizens and do nothing against foreign threats.
Look to Obama to soon equate anyone who disagrees with the administration as "radicalized".
Our individual freedom is now directly threatened by our government.
Good...but don't forget the radicalized Republican Taliban followers as well that openly hate the government or anyone that opposes their radical agenda. Sick and tired of these goons threatening Americans and our elected officials with violence. These goons are just as deadly as Al Queda.

I read that the construction of 80% of
mosques in the U.S. are funded by the
Saudis. The students they have here
help to get them up and running and
those 80% are supplied with radical
literature from Saudi Arabia. Also in
the article there was mention that our
government was fully aware of this.
The thing is, we are all at the mercy of
whatever sources we get our info from.
Some sources are truthful some maybe
not. But if these sources are right our
own government seems to be turning
a blind eye to a real threat from our

If the above statements are not a PERFECT description of today's GOP and how to combat it I don't know what is.
The enemy within our borders, that threaten our very existence are the REPUBLICANS. Before any OUTSIDE force can take us out the GOP has shown that they can do it better, quicker, and more cold-heartedly and decisively than any terrorist.
The Taliban needs to go to the Republicans for training.

Americans better stop profiling people just because they don' look like you. The fact is, there are those among us who look like us, talk like us and they don't go to mosque, in fact they are profiling us.
