Thank you for having the courage to stop discriminating against ANY American. The military already has plent of gay service members who hide it in order to serve. They should be commended just like the rest of the service for the sacrifice that they make for us.

Hopefully, with the Democrats in power, we can raise this country to be the shining light again for other nations to look up to.

God bless you President Obama for your wisdom and leadership!

I was booted out of the military because of "Homosexual acts and conduct". I was embarrassed and devastated! I did not think then nor do I think now that my sexual preference should have determined rather I was employable in the military. I still have to support myself and my family. I have to eat, pay the rent, buy gas and struggle to get by like everyone else. At the end of the day...no matter what you think about the lifestyle...homosexuals are our brothers, sisters, mothers, and fathers. They should not be fired just because of what they decide to do with their bodies with other consenting adults. What if a heterosexual went to work and happened to mention to someone something like..."I love my woman" only to later be called into a room and interrogated and then fired because the person spilled the beans. That would be just as wrong! God does not force the consciences of men nor should governments or people. If you think the lifestyle is wrong then that's your attention but does that mean that people should not be employed to defend this country? Of course not. Lets all get onboard to overturn this evil and to reimburse fairly each person for what they would have had if they were allowed to stay in.
