Washington (CNN) - "I ultimately take responsibility for solving this crisis," Obama said about the continuing oil spill in the Gulf. "I'm the president, and the buck stops with me."

Remember Shrub having a contest with Rove for 8 years to see who could read the most books?
Other than starting 2 wars, cutting taxes for the wealhy, repeating "war on terror" and "911" over and over - that's all Shrub did.
This President (Barack Hussein Obama) is getting lots of stuff done that should have been done during the last admin. AND he's doing what he's supposed to do during his first term AT THE SAME TIME.
I'm very proud of him.

This was in no way his fault, and I admire him for taking the responsibility to fix it. If that isn't CHANGE, I don't know what is! I'm sure all the haters will hop on this too..........

He refused to take responsibility until such time as he heard that BP was 70 percent sure they could stop the leak. Teflon nobamba and blame everything on everyone else is his style of leadership. In other words he could not lead people out of a burning building. Pathetic excuse for President.

Too bad the bucks haven't stopped with Obama. He has spent more than all the other presidents combined. If only we could stop him for spilling red ink...

If "the buck stops with me", then the congress should go to impeachment proceedings as soon as possible. Just imagine how much damages the mass oil spill have been done to the 5 states' (TX, LA, MS, AL and FL) enocomy, food and services and tourism industries. He should say "IT IS BUSH'S FAULTS" as he said during his press conference.

OK Great, the buck stops with him. What exactly is a guy at that level going to do? He criticizes BP and their partners for pointing fingers regarding blaming each other, but this is the pot calling the kettle black. Obama is the FINGER POINTER IN CHIEF. It's either Bush's fault or those GREEDY corporations (that BTW give us all jobs, something Obama never has had.)

8 years of the Bush Error = How many years of recession and unemployment?
While admire President Obama for his honesty and taking responsibility for the spill and clean up, it is not necessary to the majority of Americans.
We realize you are doing all you can, it is just Fox and Fox Lite(formerly CNN) that have been yammerin' about "Obama's Katrina" right after the Lush and his lemmings started the chant.
Who knew the uneducated blob of DNA would provide "news" to the aforementioned corporations. as they fight over the ratings for the right wing neo-nuts.

I wonder how the Republicans feel about the buck stopping with the President. First they don't want government involved in big business. Then when things go catastrophically wrong they do want government involved in big business. Anyone else dizzy?

The buck does stop with you ... too bad you have to take it from both sides.
When things are going well, you are not suppose to put restrictions and regulations on the industry ... you are suppose to leave them alone. You are not suppose to interfere.
When things are going to hell, you are suppose to step in, take responsiblity and solve the problems of that very specific industry.
With this in mind you better bone up on your

OB / GYN skills
venture capital skills

Believe you me Mr. President, they are NOT going to let you forget it. That the buck stops with you that is, because God knows that in their lttle demented minds you're not THEIR President......Except when they need federal assistance.
I told you to stay out of this. I hope to God you don't live to regret it. But I know they will make sure that you do.
