GOP congressman calls on Washington to be more responsive

(CNN) – Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-California, is calling on Washington politicians to be more responsive to American citizens in the weekly GOP radio and internet address.

“Over the last 18 months, Democrats running Washington have failed to listen to the American people,” said McCarthy. “After this conversation and debate, we will begin to introduce solutions and fight for them right away.”

McCarthy also touted a new GOP-sponsored website that aims to solicit opinions from the American people on which issues are the most pressing.

The GOP does have a track record of listening to the American people, well actually rich American people, disregard the rest.

More responsive? McCarthy and his fellow Tea Partiers want to abolish most of the functions of government and let Wall Street and the oil companies call ALL the shots. The Disney movie "Davy Crockett" with Fess Parker is their blueprint for returning America to the late 18th or early 19th century.

So here's my opinion for Mr. McCarthy, Don't wait.

Government has made the mistake of trying to be the parent to growups.....that flairs alot of anger, or even rebellion. Just like a parent there comes a time when you need to let the kids fly....and because they have been trained up in what to do...they will do just fine.
Translated: government should not be sloving all the problems, communites made up of individuals should be having a real hand in things.

I find it so interesting that politicians that have been part of the establishment are now talking about how Washington needs to start listening, but yet they have been hearing American people voices for quite some time!! I guess when your job is on the line you get a wakeup call!! VOTE THEM OUT!!!

"We will begin to introduce solutions and fight for them right away" says the Republicans. Have these idiots any idea that whether they are in office or not they still have a responsibility to the American people to help or are they just Americans when you vote them in.
