(CNN) - President Barack Obama will visit the Gulf Coast region Friday, the White House announced.
"On Friday, June 4, President Barack Obama will return to the Louisiana Gulf Coast to assess the latest efforts to counter the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill. More details will be released later today," the White House said in a statement.

What's this idiot going to do? Stop the leak himself? He was there last week for an hour then left for Chicago. Same old photo ops and same old lame comments. For all the naysayers who thought the President wasn't involved, (your wrong again), he is as much as involved as any president could be, besides even though this spill is very very tragic, he still has a country to run with all the other issues that need attention..Israel, the 2 wars, immigration, don't ask dont tell, so it kind of ticks me off when some pundits say he is not doing enough. Cheney is an oil man, Bush is an oil man, since they suppodedly love this country almost more than anyone else I,m not hearing anything from them..where are their proposals to stop the leak.. Stop Baby Stop should be the new mantra.. this will be President Obama's 3rd trip...how many times did Bush go to Louisiana during Katrina....enough said for now.
