Las Vegas, Nevada (CNN) - Nevada Republican Senate candidate Sue Lowden predicts she will win Tuesday's primary.
She talks to CNN about her reversal of fortune in the polls, how the party might "heal" after a bitter GOP primary in Nevada that some describe as a slugfest.
And Lowden told CNN she won't second guess the much-publicized gaffes she's made on the campaign trail. At a recent town hall meeting in Nevada, she said that patients could barter with their doctors for health care and mentioned how some people "in the olden days" traded chickens for health services.
I hope she does. In fact, I'm starting to hope the GOP and conservatives get everything they wish for so they can finish destroying our country with their debunked, errant ideological nonsense and finally learn their freekin lesson. Let them make their beds. They might be making ours too, for the time being, but nothing will be sweeter than them crawling back to us having to admit how stupid they've been for helping create a corporatocracy to run our nation and spead all their fear and hate to turn us into a nation viewed world-wide as ignorant, selfish, racist, xenophobic and imperialistic.
This is the Chicken Lady who opposed the Tea Party women. Great choice in Nevada.
Even if she is a chicken Lady, she's better than Reid. I'll take a chicken over a skunk any day of the week.............................
TEABAGGER (their theme song is "Don't start thinking about tomorrow").
I don't live in Nevada so I don't have a say one way or the other in how the election comes out.
As for Lowden referring to the barter system, that was in place all through history until World War II.
During the war, companies HIRED doctors who would watch over the health of the plant's employees. Some companies still do that.
Blue Cross started around 1930. With the promotion of Health Insurance after the war, the barter system went the way of the house call. Both were declared 'illegal' by the AMA.
Gaffes is right.
I tried to make a donation to her campaign but they would not take it. I tried to donate 3 chickens instead of cash, they turned it down. I guess only doctors take chickens instead of cash. This lady is a hypocrite and a tells the same lies as the standard GOP talking points.
Vote NO in NOvember to the party of NO.
All there is to say is
BAWK! BAWK! BAWK!
Sue Lowden is a very attractive woman with a tenuous grasp of the issues. In short, a candidate who appeals to the average GOPer. If it weren't for the Tea Party, she would've probably won this primary.
Is it the sun in the Southwest? The chicken teabagger lady is going to win a primary? What is wrong with the world?
@Frank-LasVegas – you just made my day!!! :) :)
Guess the chickens are just for doctors, right? Ya' betcha'
The former San Diego Chicken could sure use a set up person like Lowden for his act.
The bartering comment wasn't a gaffe. It's just that ivory tower progressive elitist politicians and their bigoted useful idiots have never had to barter for health care before. My dad is a doctor and actually helps people for a living unlike these crooks and their moronic followers, and he's bartered with plenty of patients. For nearly ten years our family didn't have to pay for Thanksgiving dinner since the turkey was given to dad as payment for health care.
She better not count her chickens before they hatch
...someone had to say it.
She's very pretty and easy on the eyes. That's about it.
Let them eat cake! It's so nice to be rich and wondering how the "little people" are "getting by."
Chicken Lady; just another wonderful example of the GOP's lame candidates. If the Chicken Lady doesn't do it for you, take a look at the govs race in the GOP "stink hole" – South Carolina.
please wake up america while your still free if these clowns stay in office america is done. its time to impeach our leaders starting with obama.
Give her a chicken and send the loser home!
