
(CNN) - The Associated Press projects that state Rep. Nikki Haley and Congressman Gresham Barrett will meet in a June 22 runoff election to determine the Republican nominee for South Carolina governor. Haley, they predict, will come up shy of the 50% threshold necessary to avoid a runoff.
GOP gubernatorial primary:
Nikki Haley – 194,134 49.0%
Gresham Barrett – 85,579 21.6%
Henry McMaster – 67,608 17.1%
Andre Bauer – 49,051 12.4%
