Palin wants Obama to call her

Palin says Obama should consider calling her for advice.
Palin says Obama should consider calling her for advice.

(CNN) – Sarah Palin says its time for President Barack Obama to pick up the phone and make some calls – maybe even to her.

In her latest post on Facebook, the former Alaska governor takes aim at the president for not speaking directly with BP CEO Tony Hayward during the ongoing Gulf Coast crisis. Obama told NBC Tuesday that he has not spoken with Hayward because "when you talk to a guy like a BP CEO, he's gonna say all the right things to me - I'm not interested in words, I'm interested in actions."

Palin wrote that Obama's comments amount to "further proof that it bodes well to have some sort of executive experience before occupying the Oval Office," and added that the president should call experts who lived through the 1989 Exxon-Valdez oil spill in Alaska – including herself.

"We've all lived and worked through the Exxon-Valdez spill," she wrote. "They can help you. Give them a call. Or, what the heck, give me a call."

"Based on my experience working with oil execs as an oil regulator and then as a Governor, you must verify what the oil companies claim – because their perception of circumstances and situations dealing with public resources and public trust is not necessarily shared by those who own America's public resources and trust," Palin added.

In the lengthy Facebook post, the former vice presidential nominee also revives battles of the 2008 presidential campaign while targeting Obama's lack of executive experience.

"My experience (though, granted, I got the message loud and clear during the campaign that my executive experience managing the fastest growing community in the state, and then running the largest state in the union, was nothing compared to the experiences of a community organizer) showed me how government officials and oil execs could scratch each others' backs to the detriment of the public, and it made me ill," she said.

President Obama, please do not call that woman. She has few words
and no action. If you have to call Alaska, call everyone there, except her.

sarah, do you really think he is going to call you? you need to get somewhere and sit down and deal with your own issues. you are only interested in making yourself look good.

i'm sure the president has spoken with folk that have some knowledge about oil spills and probably with the experts from the Exxon Valdez spill as well. people pick who they want to get their information from and you don't rank the top of the list.

Why would Obama waste his time calling Palin when he could call Joe the Plumber? At least Joe knows how to deal with spills. Palin's best use for her hot air would be to place her mouth over the pipe since more crap comes out of it than the pipe. She complains Obama doesn't have executive experience like her. He also doesn't have quitters syndrome like she has. She is an absolute embarrassment to America.

Palin? LOL!! WHy can't she just sit down, shut her mouth and bake brownies like most people with her experience do! She just does not understand she has no power or experience or advice that can be taken seriously other than what K-Mart to buy on the rack, red light special clothes she wears! Sarah, go buy a ham and cook it. Then sit down at the dining table with other pig and talk table top politics because thats all your words is worth! Some people just cant take the hint there not wanted and neither is their infantile advice!

"then running the largest state in the union"

The majority of major U.S. cities have a higher human population than the entire state of Alaska, ya daffy nut-job.

WHY? Why would any President of the United States ever want to talk to Palin...she is the main reason John McCain lost the 2008 Presidential Election. Palin needs just sit down, keep quite and come to the realization: Sarah you lost and 75% of the American electorate never want to see you in high office.

who's palin to criticize anyone's executive experience? didn't she quit? and i too also "lived and worked" through the exxon spill. so did the rest of the world. what exactly is she saying, again?

I had to read her quotes several times and I can't believe how she talks in circles. And where was she during the Exxon-Valdez spill. She wasn't doing any regulating or dealing with oil execs. Obviously she wasn't getting any academic experience of English or writing in an academic institution either.

The only thing that "bodes well" is that she was never elected to the 2nd highest office in America. She is even disgracing some in the Tea Party.

I would love to hear Katie interview Sarah on her recollection of the Exxon-Valdez spill. That would boost her book sales.

A question of experience, huh? She forgot so quickly all of the criticism over her lack of experience when she went for VP. She was the governor of the BIGGEST state in the union, she brags What a silly thing to assert. Most of Alaska is uninhabited.

That is the problem that I have with Palin and the rest of the ultra conservative GOP: a total lack of common sense.

Why would Obama call Palin? That would be like Nasa calling Charles Manson for advice on how to fly a shuttle.

Hmmm.....did Bush Jr. call the CEO of Goldman-Sacks? BoA? AIG?

Of course not. It's not presidential.

On the other hand, it's not surprising the Palin would criticize Obama for his silence, because she not presidential, as well as not bright.

I'm still baffled as to why her little Facebook screeds are treated as newsworthy by every news outlet when she doesn't have the guts to appear ANYWHERE but Fox News. She has the media totally played. Suckers.

Poor Sarah Palin. She's still trying hard to prove she is not that dumb stupid as the media, especially Couric, had displayed her lack of intellect as she campaigned with another not-too-bright McCain.... Maybe its not too late for her to seek admission to study at Harvard or Princeton to prove she can be smart enough to run for The White House..

From the lady that loved to say " Drill baby Drill" along with Mccain. How did that "Dealing" with the spill and Exxon go? Oh yea, they got out of paying millions of dollars in fines and the courts reversed a decision for them to pay fisherman and others millions for their loses. Yea you have a lot of help to give...

Ok. Why is she not down in the gulf states or with with the republican governors (one who just might run against her in the rep run for pres) walking the beaches and explaining how they should coordinate the effort and work with BP (maybe get some oil on her cleaning up ). My god, she has all this experience and now she wants the Pres to call her for advice. BTW – she quit as governor when things got tough. If this happened in her state she probably would have moved out of the country. Someone should remind her (she doesn't read the papers) that the still are cleaning up the Alaska oil spill and will for decades. She is such a hypocrite. Drill bay drill.... see what you got!!!! Thanks Sarah! Enjoy the millions you are making at the expense of the Gulf States!
