Jindal for president speculation renewed

A ‘Jindal for President’ on Louisiana’s coast.

A ‘Jindal for President’ on Louisiana’s coast.

(CNN) - He's said he has no plans to run for president in 2012, but Lousiana Gov. Bobby Jindal's handling of the oil crisis off the Gulf Coast may have earned him a number of new supporters who hope he reconsiders.

On the Louisiana coast this week, CNN's John King even passed by a homemade "Jindal for President" sign – something that made the Louisiana Republican chuckle.

"I've got my hands full down here, we've got to protect our state; we've got plenty of work to do in Louisiana," Jindal told King Thursday.

The 39 year-old governor of Indian descent has long been considered a rising star in the Republican Party, though his star power took a bit of hit last year following a poorly received response to President Obama's State of the Union Address.

Speaking at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in April, Jindal – who faces reelection next year - said he will not be a candidate for president in 2012.

"I am not running for president of the United States," he said then. "I've got the job I want."

Where is Dick Cheney?? The first part of the year this dude was running his mouth like oil running thru the Gulf of Mexico about Barak Obama......Now that the world knows although no one has commented yet......Are the American people aware that Dick Cheney owns Haliburton, the company that is/was supposed to be monitoring the oil tank. I find it very ironic that I have not heard his mouth lately. Maybe it has something to do with the oil that Administation stole from Iraq.

I've noticed that everyone is yelling without thinking (except those paid to yell the loudest). Your really not going to be able to clean anything as long as the well has.......say for me loud America.....STOPPED LEAKING! Then the clean up efforts can be ramped up and productive. From day 1 the Coast Guard (Federal Govt) was there, the President made statements, by the end of the week he was there (remember it was raining and he was at a podium). Now the moratorium halting further drilling will keep going until the well has .....say it for me one more time (STOPPED LEAKING). If we continue deep drilling now without the $500K preventer and another leak starts that we can't stop.......then who will you blame? It damn sure won't be Cheney, it will be your Socialist boogey man who your making people believe learned how to be aqua man in Kenya who dove down and blew up the well to push his cap and trade agenda. Let's learn from this and remember one thing America:

    Without regulation, corporations will:

    1. Poison YOUR water (Gulf spill), give YOUR kids cancer (toys from China) and steal all YOUR money (the Great recession)!

Essayons America, I hope you suckers enjoy your coffee mugs!

After watching his moronic response to obama I cannot deal with him. Then take the aid and shove it. Now he blames the government for the free enterprise safety failure. Sounds all way to familiar to me. he is one person I see no value of in this whole diaster other than his nightlyu whining and hand wringing on TV. So let him run . I sure as hell dont want to vote for him given his short history.

I seen Slummdog Millionaire. So therefore Bobby Jindal needs to stick with acting.

Why don't you see some education? Bobby is just as good as anyone else, nice lack English language skills though, with people like you against Jindal, he should be a in pretty easy.

The first bio on Jindal's birth was his mother was visiting in India but made it home minutes before he was born. That bio has since been removed from the website. WHY?

Can you imagine 4 long insufferable years of a Jindal presidency? Besides, when I look at him I immediately think of outsourcing. Can't imagine how the GOP who thinks Obama is a foreigner will promote someone who despite his US birth comes across as foreign.

Bobby Jindal is trying to make himself look appealing to advance his political career. The only thing he has done is complain the government is doing nothing and not fast enough to act. Mr. Jindal has to understand the President did not cause the spill. Lets put the blame were it belongs. You knew the oil rig was right in front of your yes, supported off shore drilling but you forgot to have plan "A" what you will do if a spill happens. I am sorry for the gulf coast people who lives is dismantled at the expenses of government officials who have disregard for regulations and have BP drill. We should govern our state for the people of our state but not for national exposure and a dream to be president. Your people need is help from the mess you guys created and BP's unregulated permission given to them to drill. I pray for the people of the Gulf Coast that this disaster will be over soon, lead a normal life and make BP pay for all the misery they caused. Well we learned a valuable lesson and should put the idea of off shore drilling in the back burner until we have a strict regulation and mostly how we can handle as disaster like this from happening again. God Bless our country.

He is currently playing the same status quo politicians game: No oil spill-"drill baby drill"; when the oil spills "the president has to do something to protect us" but u don't here drill baby drill- president shuts down deep water oil drilling. Now he's crying about the 150K workers out of a job because drilling has stopped. Jindal you can't have it all ways.

Are some of you people that gullable? Are you kidding me? Gov. Jindal was one of the main people in the GOP that was against the TARP program and was against his state getting money from Obaama. While secretly behind the camera he was taking photos holding a TARP check for different programs in the state of LA, trying to ride the gravy train like he created jobs for the citizens. Albeit using money from the source that he completely opposed!

And he was one of the main ones saying that he thought that govt. was too big and controlling. Now all of a sudden BIG GOVT can't get to LA fast enough to "take over" the gulf oil spill. Are some of you that naive to just ignore blatant facts that were said, only because of party affiliation?

No wonder this country can't get anything done.

I wonder if the birth-baggers will be making a stink about Jindal's birth certificate, or standing around on street corners with signs saying "We don't want RINOism, you arrogant New Dehlian".

You think there is alot of rightwing panties in a bunch now...just wait until Jindal is formal candidate for their [R] pres. nomination. All the toothless backwoods boobs that watch Fux News will be trashing their stills in anger.

This man has been in the news front for the past 50+ days whining about the Government not responding to the oil spill with everything the federal government owns. He is a hypocrite of a major magnitude, claiming on one hand that he is against big government spending while criticizing the government for not handing out blank checks to the citizens of his state. I think the jerk needs to go study geography and history a little better as there are 49 other states that could use a needed shot in the arm. Drill, Baby, Pollute!

If Jindal can clean up until the last drop of the oil (until the gushing stops), I can reward him with my one vote for doing the impossible job. BUT not talking only. The man is talking without neither comma nor fullstop!

Bobby Jindal for president? NO please. He looked like a moron during his rebuttal speech in 2008. He may be good for Lousiana but not for the country.

Again, if this is the best the Republican party can come up with – Obama will have no trouble getting a second term. Republicans better start looking around for a real candidate – because right now, they DON'T HAVE ONE.

Bobby Jindal? You mean Gov. "I don't want any stimulus money" and "No business should be regulated" but wants all the government help he can get now? One of the many who chanted "DRILL BABY DRILL" for years?

Don't make me laugh. All he's good at it getting on camera and whining.
