“He hasn’t clearly made any decision yet,” Bachmann said of her state’s Republican governor in an interview on CNN’s John King, USA. “And I haven’t backed any candidate yet or said that I’m going to be necessarily on their team. It’s very early in the process.”
“If you could pick, who would it be?” CNN Chief National Correspondent John King asked the Minnesota lawmaker.
“Well, we’ll find out,” Bachmann coyly replied, “I think after 2010, it will become much clearer.”
But the conservative Republican did have one 2012 prediction which she was willing to share.
“But I do know as I've been speaking to people, especially in my district in Minnesota, they see President Obama as a one-term president. So I think there is a very strong likelihood that we'll see a change after this election.”
Bachmann also expressed concern about how Obama is handling the economic damage caused by the Gulf oil spill.
The lawmaker made it clear to King that “I’m not here to shill for BP. That’s not the goal.
“BP clearly is at fault here. They need to pay every last dime of damage, and that’s what needs to be done.”
But on the same day that Obama announced BP’s agreement to fund a $20 billion escrow account to be disbursed by a well-known attorney, Bachmann added she was concerned the oil giant might be getting caught up in the politics of Washington.
“We don't want these payouts to become political. And we don't want - we don't think it's a good idea for the federal government to see private industry as essentially a piggy bank for the federal government.”
She added, “And while it's important that all the claims get paid, let's just make sure that this isn't a permanent ATM card.”
The Minnesota Republican explained her concern by pointing to the Obama administration’s multiple, unprecedented efforts to intervene in the private sector since late 2008 when the economy was teetering on the brink of another Great Depression.
“Today it seems like the automatic effort from the government is: let's have the federal government take over private industry,” Bachmann told King.
“We don't want that to be the automatic response of government, because we're a free-market economy. And unfortunately, the Obama administration hasn't been making any efforts to unwind the government out of these private industries. We're still deep into GM, deep into Chrysler, et cetera. And I just think we don't want to have the federal government take over effectively the oil industry either.”

It's totally ludicrous how some of us view Obama and the current administration.It seems to be very eay for every Republican Senators to call Obama a one time president. I would not believe what this Senator is declaring on behalf of whoever she had met and discussed with.
How could someone with all her senses intact talk from all the compass of his mouth and call Obama a single term president. Why didn't you senator mentioned Mr. Bush as one term president in those days? Could Bush have done better? Isn't the piled-up mess that Mr. Bush and his cabinet created and left that Obama is clearing? Where werer you senator during Hurricane Katrina? Were you there at Louisiana to render humanitarian services to New Orleans residents?

It is beyond me, completely beyond me, how this woman is considered relevant. "A Mistake"? They ponied up some money? Our President made that happen. I just don't get it...
Republicans and Democrats treat BP like an "ATM" when it comes to campaign funding and that's why you haven't heard people like Boehner go after BP but readily go after the President and Bachmann is no different. 2012 will be an interesting year to see if BP will be discriminated against not to contribute to campaign funding when the Justices have allowed all foreign companies to contribute to campaigns.

By constantly bringing up the belief from the Right that Obama is using the BP oil spill as a political tool, Republicans are taking attention away from the real story. Sounds like they are doing the very thing that they are accusing the president of.
P.S. 18 months into a presidency is a little early to determine where voters will be more than 2 years from now.

I would love to see her and Palin in a female remake of the Jim Carey classic "Dumb and Dumber". I am just not sure though who would be dumb and who would be dumber. Here is my plot idea: the two of them are working in a beauty/ammo shop in Wasila and criminals leave a bag filed with loot at the local 7/11. They find a name on the bag – Rush Limbaugh – and deduce that they must fly to Florida to return it to the rightful owner. They arrive in Florida where they find that Rush had just divorced his 4th wife, whereby they are quickly hired to take care of his needs.... Nevermind, I am starting to get sick to my stomach.

I just saw Michelle Bachmann being interviewed on the TV where she was backing BP and saying that they shouldn't be taken advantage of etc. That woman is nuttier than a fruit cake and I have never been able to understand why any state would elect to office a woman who would say that the Congress should be investigated for being Un American. This was just one of her crazy ,rambling ideas , many more of which she throws around at the "Tea parties". If she had any more power, she'd be dangerous.

After watching Chris Matthews' special tonight on the Far Right in this country, it frightening to imagine people like Bachman, Palin, Paul and Angle being on the world stage as leaders of this country.
What I would like to know is if Michelle Bachman is the best Minnesota has to offer, the the electrate form that state has learned nothing over the decades since Joe McCarthy. The people that surround this woman seem to be mesmerized by her distortions and out and out hatred of our President.
Listening to the people displayed on this special tonight, made me wonder where we really are headed. Taking up arms aganist your own government? Now the government is the enemy? Are these people so warped in their minds due to Barak Obama being President, that this is the extent this crowd will go?
