Rubio not facing foreclosure anymore, says campaign

Rubio is no longer facing foreclosure, says his campaign.

(CNN) – Marco Rubio's Senate campaign says he is no longer facing foreclosure on a home he co-owns in Tallahassee for which he has not made a mortgage payment on in six months.

"This is a jointly owned property in Tallahassee that has been in the process of being sold," the Republican's spokesman Alex Burgos said in a statement to CNN. "A clarification was needed on the amount owed, which has been resolved. This loan is current and the action is being withdrawn."

Citing Leon County court records, the Associated Press reported Friday that the home - which Rubio owns with state Rep. David Rivera - is undergoing the foreclosure process because the two have not made loan payments since January.

"This was simply a notice of additional action if not resolved, but it has since been resolved," said Burgos.

The AP also reported Rubio and Rivera paid $135,000 in 2005 for the house.

Rather odd that Rubio just so happens to be "co-owner" with a state Congressman. Gee that doesn't sound suspicious now does it? Both haven't made payments for 6 months either?

Ok, we have half a story here. Where's the other half? How was the situation "resolved." Who came up with the money? Where did the money come from? Inquiring minds want to know.

One wonders......resolved by the campaign paying the back payments on the house?????? That's one way to clean your candidate's image.....but it is also highly questionable.

Funny. GOP not paying their bills. Maybe if people like him paid their bills there would have been no bail out. Tea party haha what a sham

6 months without making a payment on a mortgage and he wants my vote? Yeh right..... Just like he "accidently" used his GOPF credit card for personal expenses.

Rubio sure has money problems, federal investigation for credit card use, still waiting for his '09 tax returns he is sitting on. Mortgage foreclosures, yes, real senatorial material...Rubio should have used rep. credit card! Rubio should have applied for Obama mortgage relief program!

Keep voting in the Tea Party candidates, GOPers. Can't remember the last time mid-terms were so hilarious.

THESE are the people republicans want running our government? Rubio, Whitman, Fiorina, Angle, Paul, and God only knows who else – there are so many out there running.

I am sorry, but Congress is already screwed up enough. Voting for the fools that the republicans are now endorsing would only create more havoc and gridlock, not less.

What this country DOES NOT need are any more republicans in office. You can't trust these Tea candidates now when they are only running for office. HOW on earth can you trust them if they do manage to win?

So the guy that was charging his Republican business account $135 for a haircut can't pay a mortgage? Doesn't sound like he's responsible to me.

I'm sure Marco either dipped into some GOP donor money to catch up on the mortgage payments or made a sweetheart deal with some corporate entity to buy the house from him at an outrageous price so he can pocket the "profit". That's just the way he rolls!

Hmmm, I didn't know I could just not pay the mortgage on a home I'm trying to sell. Thanks for the tip Marco.

Why do Marco Rubio and David Rivera own a home together? And to think the gay rumors are typically about Charlie Crist. Just sayin'

Gawd, this just keeps getting better and better.

Rubio can't make a mortgage payment jointly owned $135,000 house? What is that, about $300?

I'm sure all the people dumb enough to support the Republican party will be glad to "bail him out"!

Now you can see why a Miami Poitician cannot get any Florida votes out of the Dade county jurisdiction where they can buy as many votes possible or get as many crooked thieves to pursue medicare and social security benefits frauds whether earned or not earned. The Dade county politicos are well known for their devious endeavors and the rest of the state voters will not vote for a politician from Dade county and it's rigged elections. BYE BYE Rubio.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It keeps getting worst and worst for Marco Rubio regarding his charater. He have been in the spot light for months for spendind money like crazy, but still want people to believe he is the best man for the Senate when he can not handle his responsiblities in his personnal life. You are known by your character not what you say and if the voters fall for this dude they get with they desire.
