(CNN) - The day Bristol Palin fans have been waiting for has finally arrived: ABC has released a clip of her acting debut on the small screen.
Palin is playing herself on the ABC Family show "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," set to air later this summer. According to the network, Palin plays a friend of the show's main character, Amy. The show has recently focused on how Amy reacts to an unexpected pregnancy.
Palin, the 19-year old daughter of Sarah Palin, gave birth to her son Tripp in December 2008.

More money and more unwarranted accolades for a teenage girl knocked up who has the support of a rich mother. There are millions of other single mothers and teenage girls who did not get abortions and have raised their children without such support. They are the one who deserve the real accolades for not getting abortions. Poor rich Bristol does not deserve our attention.
Who cares what Bristol Palin has to say, she is THE last person any teenage (or younger) girl should listen to....Please stop with all this publicity you are giving this disgraceful, money hungry disfunctional family.

The Palin family should not complain about privacy. they just can't seem to stay out of the limelight. Between the daughter and mother both with young children running all over the place, I have to ask do they have nannies taking care of their children.
Only in America can an unwed teenager whose mother is running for a high political office get pregnant by another teen, have the baby, have an ongoing spat with the father (who models nearly naked for a national publication), write a book, accept speaking fees in the thousands of dollars, and end up on a television show with newfound celebrity.
There's something horribly wrong with American values. We elevate foul-mouthed, sexually explicit pop and rock stars to icon status where they earn millions of dollars, we worship drug addicted athletes and shower them with multi-million dollar contracts, and allow two main political parties foist candidates on us who lie, cheat and steal.
No wonder so much of the world just shakes their heads at us...I'm by no means a Tea Party guy or a conservative Republican or raving liberal Democrat...but I have to wonder where this country's values are headed. No wonder we get the type of politicians we get.

This appearance comes from a person who is accepting speaking fees for promoting abstinence after it was revealed that her former boyfriend is now doing sleepovers since mama Palin is out of town.

Perhaps CNN is attempting to further illustrate what happens to kids that are brought up with the much-praised Christian Conservative Right Wing family values.
Got it: got pregnant under mommies' roof while cohabitating with her boyfriend, with mommie's permission. And she gets rewarded with A TV SHOW telling kids not to do what she did.
