(CNN) - A labor union representing nearly 20,000 border patrol agents and staff Friday disputed comments made by Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer that most illegal immigrants coming across the southern border are smuggling drugs.
Brewer initially made the comments earlier this month during a debate of Republican gubernatorial candidates. She repeated them Friday when asked by a reporter for the basis of the claim.
"Well, we all know that the majority of the people that are coming to Arizona and trespassing are now becoming drug mules," Brewer said. "They're coming across our borders in huge numbers. The drug cartels have taken control of the immigration.

Looks like the wicked witch of the west has decided to start her racial profiling before her law even goes into effect. Couldn't possibly be that she's dumping on that particular group in order to further her run for election,,,,,,,could it?....Ya' Think?
How much more "change" can we afford?
Vote Republican.
hey, call'em like you see'em. thats where most of the drugs are comming from, and are being carried by mexicans.
Im sick of the gov pretending that there is some gray area on these people streaming into the us. there is only right and wrong and if they chose to come here illegally and get caught they should be put on a black list that will never be allowed to enter the us.
There was a time in this country when unions tried to protect American jobs from illegal immigrants trying to take them. Now ,they look at illegals as potential members that they can exploit just like some business do,ala cheap labor. The unions should be for sealing our borders and protecting our citizen's jobs !!!
Jan, Jan, Jan...you are so out of touch with your constinuents. I think you are seriously missing the boat here and can't wait until Arizona gets another Governor. If it is going to be a Republican, I think Arizona's Attorney General Terry Goddard is the best pick. Boot Brewer and get someone a little less divisive.
