What about the report of 3500 temporarily abandoned wells in the Gulf that have questionable well caps and are never inspected???

Someone's feet needs to be held to the fire. BP needs to stop with their PR campaign and cap the darn hole already. I don't need to hear their phony commercials about "I'm from the Gulf Coast, blah blah blah, etc." Get busy on the relief well.

Since the White House is not part of the solution then it must be part of the problem. Since the White House is not doing everything that it can to help then they should shut up.

They just woke up and realized that there is a oil disaster in the Gulf !!! I 'm still asking if they intend to have EPA set up a fund to pay out medical claims for people exposed to the toxic dispersants dumped into the sea.EPA let this happen without knowing what damage they were doing to the environment or people working in the area.

BP: my grandkids (11-15)came up with something that seems to make sense. The core of the earth is hot, surrounding it are layers obviously preventing the heat getting out, between the heat and the mantle is the oil. We use oil as a lubrication, how do we not know if the oil is a lubrication for the earth, and if we take it out, it will cause problems, such as if a car ran out of oil, it would seize up. Could the fact be that we are taking so much oil out of the earth, that this could be the reasons for earthquakes, and the rest of the problems the earth is having recently. We seem to be having a lot more problems now that we did years ago? do you have any experts who could explain this to your viewers, as to whether this could a feasible reason for changes in the earth?

    Does BP stand for
    Bush Partner?
    Bad publicity?
    British Punks?

However you figure it, they suck, and the daily numbers for their loss are really adding to the frustration. Who in the USA really cares how much they spend/lose? If they're still in business then it wasn't enough. When will the administration put them in receivership and seize all their assets?

Rush thinks waterboarding them might work, even if getting truth out of him is like pulling your molars.

Oh come now, Barack Obama. We all know that the GOPers don't want answers. They want BP to be allowed to police themselves, regardless of the damage BP is causing in the Gulf.

Just ask Joe Barton and John Boehner (who BTW is wishing Palin wouldn't have spoken quite so openly about all those Pink Elephants he's been seeing too much of lately).

Yeah, because there are a million gallons of oil spilling into the gulf every day and the Administration is relying on BP ( the buffoons who caused this in the first place and then failed like 4 times so far to stop it ) to fix it! Good luck with that. I hope there's a plan B ( or is it really C,D.E.F or G by now? ).

Could someone explain why the Obama administration sees fit to take Arizona to court for enforcing its own federal immigration law, while giving a pass to those sanctuary cities who blatantly refuse to enforce it?

Ohhhh, Barry is really going to do something now.....he is so mad he's going to shake his finger at BP and demand, that's right, DEMAND that they do something....anything...because he has no idea what to do. What a loser.

Oh, tough talk from our empty suit commander in chief....3 months later he is demanding answers. We are demanding answers too Obama....like why did you refuse help just 3 days after the spill started.

Great. I am sure Obama has all his many intellectuals with multiple degrees and ZERO experience in oil or any other business all over it. This is a nightmare. My Next door neighbor said they just cancelled a family renuin in Florida where they WERE renting 4 houses because their is OIL on the beach.

Makes for good reporting as Obama hits the campaign trail in Arizona and Missouri. Expect something tomorrow re big banking, big business, big pharma, or big insurance so he'll have someone to bash in his stump speeches.

Perhaps in BP's response they can say that the Obama administration refused to allow ships into the Gulf to contain the spilt oil, thus allowing the oil to reach Louisiana, Alabama, Florida and Texas. Or they can respond that Obama is not allowing assistance from the states without the proper federal permits (which apparently takes months).

Sounds like Obama needs another photo op in the next 24 hours.

They want answers as long as they are accompanied by a campaign donation check. All politicians are bought and paid for by big business. Let's get rid of Big Business Campaign donations.

I've always like Chinese food but disliked their politics. I have to say though I saw a news item from China which gives me something else to like about them besides egg rolls.
They just executed a "corrupt" politician. Wow! If we did that in this Country who would be left to run Illinois let alone Washington.

  19. Get A Grip

What a joke....This administration gives this rig a safety award in '09. Oblammer accepts campaign money from BP and our 'Failure in Chief' really thinks the American people are going to be fooled by him because he throw out a few words. The only thing Obama cares about is golfing, campaigning and vacations.

How about Washington give some answers for a change??? Why do they get to run the country into the ground but never have to show up and answer for THEIR actions??? Remember when our Democratically controlled congress insisted on knowing why AIG paid bonuses to people and absolutely slammed the acting CEO?? Remember that it was later revealed in Obama's RUSH TO ACT he AUTHORIZED THOSE CHECKS?? Don't remember the administration coming to the cameras and apologizing and admitting mistakes. Wow. Also, love the morons who insist Bush is beind EVERY big business problem. Wow, are you that stupid? Do you think Democrats raise all their money from individuals?? Nope! ALL POLITICIANS ARE IN BED WITH BIG BUSINESS. It is the way things go.

Since Obama received more campaign contributions from BP than any other politician you would think he would have some pull. Maybe that is why we have gotten such a half hearted effort from Obama on the spill.

We should give the White House 24 hours to explain to us why ships from other nations were not allowed to help in the Gulf immediately.

It was the Obama administration that granted the special exemption from the legal requirement to produce a detailed environment impact study.last year. They gave the exclusion to permit driilling with Deepwater Horizon even though it hadn't produced the study required by law.

What!!?? Did Obama have a day off from his GOLFING schedule? Or did Rahm remind him that he was not taking advantage of this disaster and he needed a new 30 second sound byte for this weekend's news shows?
