(CNN) – Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has taken to Twitter to slam President Obama's economic policies as "backasswards."
After Obama was in Las Vegas late last week to attend two events for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, the Las Vegas Review Journal published a tough editorial Sunday that faulted Obama's policies on taxes and other economic issues as the White House and Capitol Hill try to turn around the struggling economy.
"President Obama once again left behind a sinking feeling that neither he nor Sen. Reid have a clue how to pull this country out of its current dire economic straits," the paper's editorial said.
In a series of tweets posted Sunday, Palin echoed the editorial's sentiments. "What happens in Vegas shouldn't stay in Vegas;pls circulate this," the former GOP vice presidential hopeful and Tea Party favorite tweeted before dropping a link to the editorial.
"LasVegas RJ editorial recaps Obama lecture 2 Runnin' Rebs: he's got most disconnected, backasswards plan ever imposed on the country we love," Palin said in a tweet that followed, calling Obama's remarks in Vegas a misguided lecture.
In remarks at an event with Reid Thursday evening, Obama slammed Reid's opponent Sharron Angle. "She wants to phase out and privatize Social Security and Medicare," Obama said, according to a transcript released by the White House.
In two additional tweets also posted Sunday, Palin sought to defend Angle. "Sharon Angle's right: new workers should get to invest some Social Security withholdings in their own savings accounts," said Palin.
She added, "What part of 'The System is Going Bankrupt' don't you understand, Mr. Reid?"

Sharron Angle was interviewed...well she allowed four questions from reporters before her speech Saturday and said: That she would not have allowed City Center to get stimulas money. Well the big problem with that is they didn't get stimulas money. She is not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Not only do Obama and Reid have no idea how to improve the economy, Biden as much as admitted, they have no idea how to create jobs.
If you look at today's economic statistics, Obama's plans look pretty good. Unfortunately, since Ms. Palin doesn't do a whole lot of reading, she wouldn't have seen the stats, and even if she saw them, she wouldn't have understood them.

In Angle's case, doing away with Social Security, Medicare, bring back Prohibition (in Nevada of all places). What is misguided, is the Republicans not approving emergency extension of unemployment benefits to the millions of Americans who are out of work due to the misguided management of our country when they were in charge.

The system is bankrupt for several reasons:
1) the Bush administration allowed ridiculous latitude to financial firms when it comes to derivatives. this was a good idea started by Reagan, which was improved by Clinton. But Bush policy allowed the deregualtion that killed US financial markets. the Obama administration has nothing to do with that.
2) We have spent over 1 trillion dollars on a pair of Mideast wars. that trillion cold have gone a long way toward reformatting the Social Security system.
Try to keep in mind that the system was not broken at the end of the Clinton Administration. there was a surplus, not a deficit. And to those dolts that repeat that the Obama administration has the highest budget ever, keep in mind that 35% of the budget is interest on our debt – debt caused by Bush et. al. I did not vote for Obama. i did not – and do not – think he was qualified. But he is certainly not responsible for the financial plight this country suffers. that falls squarely at the feet of the Bush Administration and a Republican congress.

The American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009 has to go down in history as the final proof that massive government spending does not revive an economy. It does not create jobs. It is bad economics and it will just delay our economic recovery for years.
It was a waste of huge amounts of tax dollars just when America was running low on tax dollars. I don't know if it was the worst mistake Democrats in the Obama Administration and the Pelosi/ Reid Congress made...I am thinking ObamaCare will be much more devastating to America. Las Vegas has one industry, entertainment, When people are not working, have lost a job, what goes first? Entertainment, eating out, travel, gambling, people lost their jobs and MUST concentrate on food, shelter, clothing, things that are necessary in order to survive. Any time Palin speaks out strongly against something, I consider that a sign that it must be a good idea – same with Angle, Rand Paul, Bachman, and Mr. Orange Glow himself. They define backasswords, bassackwards, or any other way you want to say it.
1) Become Governor of Alaska.
2) Get nominated for VP without being vetted. Prove to the world you are an idiot.
3) QUIT Governor Job 2 years in.

President Obama, and the Democrat Party, has done everything possible to hinder economic growth and it has now become quite clear. Since the Democrats took control of Congress in 2006, and the incompetent president initiated economy killing programs, we now have unemployment at about 10% (with nothing but expectations it will get worse), spent more money in 18 months than George Bush did in his entire 8 year term, have told businesses their costs are going up (with new taxes, health care, etc.) and NOW the Democrats wonder why the economy is spiralling out of control?
We must stop this Socialist agenda initiated by the Democrat Party!! Keep in mind these are the SAME type policies FDR initiated under the "New Deal" and those policies pushed the United States into a depression that lasted 10 years. The Obama policies inacted while he was in office are pushing us into another recession (possibly a depression) that will also take us many years to recover from!!

The Republican Party strongly believes in trickle down economics, when we know statistically that it doesn’t work (at least for the middle and lower class). I guess if I were extremely rich, then I would agree that Obama’s economic philosophy is “backasswards”. However, I believe that the strength of any economy lies in the middle class – the center of any society.

Many might say yes, I say definitely no, Obama hasn't been the best president ever, but he is smart and has the best interest of our citizens at heart.

When someone "quits" there job in governemnt to pursue a more "financial" opprotunnity I find it moronic that they then can point fingers. People remember this job was given to Obama from the people whom elected him and from. Futhermore the economic crisis started back in 2006, 2 yrs before he won the election. Is he doing a great job, NO. But he is trying to bring us out of a very bad recession that was caused by overspending. As for Ms Palin I think she would be a great cheerleader but not a good leader of the most powerful counties on Earth.
