(CNN) - Sarah and Todd Palin released this statement Wednesday following the news that their daughter Bristol is now engaged to her on-again, off-again boyfriend Levi Johnston:
"Bristol, at 19, is now a young adult. As parents we obviously want what is best for our children, but Bristol is ultimately in charge of determining what is best for her and her beautiful son.Bristol believes in redemption and forgiveness to a degree most of us struggle to put in practice in our daily lives.
We pray that, as a couple, Bristol and Levi's relationship matures into one that will allow Tripp to grow up graced with two loving parents in his life."

What a great, first-class reaction to the re-engagement news! Bristol is graced with wonderful parents and she and Levi blessed with a beautiful child. Throw in forgiveness among the many involved, and it looks like the story has a very happy ending!

Failin' Palin is still holding a grudge against Levi for him being open and honest about family secrets (i.e. Sarah calling Tripp "retarded"....the Palins allowing the two to cohabit while unmarried, etc.).
She does not sound happy, but of course she wrapped it up in a good ole dose of Christian forgiveness for the fans.
Levi is a joke. If Bristol wants him back, it's her choice.

What a snide, backhanded comment from "good Christian" Sarah Palin and her traitor-to-our-country husband Todd. Hey, how about welcoming your son in law and exhibiting some of the support and love you say you hope he shows your grandson?
Bristol seems like a nice girl put in a bad situation, and I wish her the best. Hopefully with Levi she will have the support and encouragement to leave this family of loons behind!
Levi was telling the truth about Palin's comments. You just don't make up stuff like that. Now, he is selling his soul by saying he lied so he can "fit" in the Palin family. I hope Bristol is worth the loss of his integrity. More garbage will surface with these people with or without the help of their close entourage.
