(CNN) - President Obama and his family leave Friday for a weekend getaway to Maine, but along with a little rest and relaxation comes criticism that the president is taking it easy with the Gulf of Mexico oil crisis in a critical phase.
The Obamas plan to spend the weekend on Mount Desert Island, home of Acadia National Park. The trip marks the president's third vacation since the oil disaster began in April.
The Republican National Convention launched a website blasting what it considers Obama's "leisure activities or missteps" during the oil disaster, like playing golf, attending concerts and vacationing in Asheville, North Carolina; Chicago, Illinois; and now Maine.

All of that campaigning is VERY tiring...
The GOP need to stop acting a like a bunch of phony conservatives. Do they want a big or small government? Essentially they are complaining that the government did do enought to step in and help with the oil spill. i.e. they are acting like they are for BIG government.
True conservatives would be asking the government to stay out of it and would pressure BP to get the spill cleaned up faster.
History wont look kindly on the RNC for backing corporate fascists over the middleclass for these last 10 years, but what do they care if their bags are full of bribery cash today.
Here's a headline from today that Barry can ponder while he takes yet another vacation:
"Obama, Palin tied 46/46 in 2012 polling"
That's right, the republicans doesn't know anything about family time.
There family time mean vacationing with wall street and big businesses.
GET A LIFE, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If Obama moved to the coast they would say he's not there enough.

How dare NObama even sleep? He should be eating No-Doze like candy and be fed intravenously while he's awake 24 hours a day... the time he wastes eating could better be spent donning scuba gear and personally plugging the oil leak. And let's not get started on the time he wastes answering nature's call...!
Ah, yes the Presidents personal presence is the d ifference between people doing their jobs and a wild party breaking out n Washington and no one doing anything. Hope the President enjoys his short vacation he deserves it.
The reality-challenged Republicans are at it again- so I'll remind them: George Bush (their last President) set a record for vacations taken by a Chief Executive. Almost 25% of his terms were vacation. That more than workers take in "socialist" France by comparision!
I'm all for the Pres taking some time off, but this should go to show all those people that say Obama is "for the people" that he cares far more about himself then the USA, he's taken 3 vacations in 3 months, how many do you get a year?
If memory serves, W took more vacations than any other president in history.
