Poll: Reid moves ahead of Angle

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has a 7-point lead over Sharron Angle in the Nevada Senate race, according to a new poll.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has a 7-point lead over Sharron Angle in the Nevada Senate race, according to a new poll.

(CNN) - Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, has taken a seven-point lead overRepublican opponent Sharron Angle, according to a new poll published Friday in the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The poll, conducted by Mason-Dixon, shows Reid ahead of Angle, 44 to 37 percent, with a 4 percent margin of error. The poll is the first Mason-Dixon survey showing Reid's lead exceeding the sampling error. Voters will decide the contest in November.

Ten percent of the poll's respondents were undecided, while 9 percent preferred someone other than the two major party candidates.

Reid's aggressive advertising campaign, according to the survey, has eroded Angle's support across the board. Angle's support has dropped 9 percent among men and 5 percent among women. While she still dominates among Republicans, her support has dropped by 11 percent with GOP voters. She's also fallen by 6 percent among independents, and 4 percent among Democrats.

The poll of 625 likely Nevada voters was conducted by phone from July 12-14.

Probably because he is willing to talk to the main stream media.

There are no word to describe Reid and the lib drones who support one of the most evil men to ever step foot in North America.

It is a fact, a majority of Democrats in America would vote for Osama Bin Laden if he had a little d next to his name.

9 out of 10 Democrat voters, if given a gun with one bullet in it, put in a room with Bush and Bin Laden and told them must shoot one of them, would shoot Bush and not Bin Laden.

Compare that to Conservatives where 10 out of 10 would shoot Bin Laden over any Democrat.

What side are you on? It may not just affect yours and your childrens lives, it may effect you for eternity!

Wasn't it John "Bonehead" Boehner who yesterday dredged up the old saw about sunlight being the best disinfectant? Now that folks are seeing what Angle is really all about, her numbers are slipping. It is highly likely that Nevada will be disinfected of this right wing nutcake, and we will all be better off.

Thanks, teabaggers! You have ensured that the Repugnants will not get this seat in the Senate.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! Someone on another site pointed out that it gets far worse if you remove Rasmussen's predictably skewed numbers.

"Reid's aggressive advertising campaign, according to the survey, has eroded Angle's support across the board."

Oh, I don't know about that. I think it had more to do with her response to his ad campaign than the ads themselves. You can't put the sh-t back in the dog, but she tried to pretend she could by refusing to own the things she had said and positions she had taken. People don't like that...at all. She would've done better to own them and explain them away. There's enough angry idiots out there that might have been satisfied with whatever rationalizations she came up with.

Nice to see that the ppl of NV can see that a woman that believes that the act of a girl raped by her family member was an act of god, should not and does not deserve to be the voice representing the people. She will only do friendly interviews bc when she does interview with a serious journalist her true colors comes out and she does not know how to dodge it. The chick is a cuuk and should not be holding any office local or national

This is great news for Nevadans. To think that they would oust a senior ranking Senator for the likes of an unqualified, backward thinking, right wing extremist is incomprehensible. Yes, Nevadans are justifiably proud of of their long tradition of independent thinking, but, c'mon folks, you would be throwing the baby out with the bathwater if you voted in Angle. I'm glad to hear you are coming to your senses.

Although do not agree with Reid 100% of the time am relieved to see the people of Nevada are intelligent enough not to support the irresponsible, radical Angle.
She is a diaster waiting to happen.

  11. Tea Bagger Angle Is NOT fit to Be a Dog CATCHER

Harry Reid will clean Sharon Angle's clock anytime anyday....anywhere in the US!

Harry Reid is not an Angel but he is definitely NOT the DEVIL "with the two BIG HORNs" Sharon Angle....who wants to WIPE OUT our kids Dept of Education, our grandma's Social Security by putting it in the hands of failed WALL STREET fat cats and the EPA...despite Americans going through one of the greatest Environmental disaster in the history of our great USA...and to top it off, Sharon Angle doesn't have a clue what senators do anyways because she NOT elected to create J.O.B. for Nevadans!

A vote for Sharon Angle, Rand Paul.....Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Sarah Palin and their ilks...is a dearth to America & the values 'we the people' hold dear and cherish in this great country of ours USA!!!!

Are we surprised?? The more the lunatic opens her mouth the easier it is to see how far out in right field her reality is. Like Palin and Rand Paul, letting her have her 15 minutes has proven to be more than enough "rope" to hang herself. Americans are just not THAT ignorant.

Boy, are you statists ever going to be suprised on Nov. 2.

I don't care what one poll says... look at the trend over the past 18 months... the Marxists have been in full blown plummet for more than a year.

"Blame Bush" is a terrible campaign plan, but honestly, when looking at the communists' "performance" with the economy and their record on job creation, "Blaming Bush" might be the only thing they can fall back on to staunch their massive bloodbath losses this fall.

"Blame Bush" heh heh heh, yeah, good luck with that. Tell me how that works out for you.

It's ironic that the "Tea Party" has handed "Dirty Harry" such an easy win. The people of Nevada will prefer a crook to a moron any day.

Even though Harry Reid has been in the game way to long, Sharon Angle is a certified nut case, I have far right friends that said that would not vote for her, I know things are bad but do people really care what a women like this is capable of.

Thank goodness. I'm no huge fan of Harry Reid, but Angle is just way too crazy for any public office, much less the U.S. Senate.

Whether or not Harry Reid has done a good job for Nevada is not something I can answer to since I don't live in that State, but whatever the case, if Nevadans vote for Sharron Angle as their next Senator, they all need some serious psychiatric help. He can't be that bad as to cause them to vote for her. NO one can be that bad!!!

I hope the Good People of Nevada have the Good Sense to vote for Reid......there maybe many problems with our Congress men and women in Washington, but at least they are not as lame brained as this woman......if this is what the Tea Party, Republicans and Palin have to offer America then we can do without....it's better to keep what we have than elect people that have NO CLUE as to what is going on......if you people are upset with Washington now then what do you think our Government would be like with Paul, Angle, and some of these other Grizzly Moms Palin is pushing.......we want to be known as the Greatest Nation in the World or the Stupidest Nation in the World.....think about it...

    Fire All incumbents!
Vote Congress out, “you are fired” if they are in. Vote them out this fall no matter what party they belong to, and in the next election and every election going forward until they become the servants of the people once more.
This November tell Congress "You Are Fired!"
This goies double for harry as well...What has he done to represent the people in the three decades he has been in Congress?
I do not care if we elect Angle at least she has a new chance to represent the people before the lobbyists.
