Joe Wierzbicki, coordinator for the Tea Party Express, issued the following statement Monday in response to the Tea Party Federation's announcement Sunday about the Federation's relationship with the Tea Party Express:

"The Tea Party Express with over 400,000 members is by far larger than the Tea Party Federation’s entire membership. Most rank-and-file tea party activists think we’re talking about Star Trek when we try to explain who the “Federation” is. Given the absurdity of the actions by the "Federation," this is quite fitting, since their conduct is alien to our membership."Groups trying to say who can or can't be 'expelled' from the tea party movement is arrogant and preposterous. Perhaps this explains why so many tea party groups have left the "Federation" during the past few months. Whatever the reason, most tea party activists are focused on taking back their country and the upcoming 2010 elections and not silly power games being played by individuals such as those in the "Federation."
"To add to the absurdity of the "Federation" they have also informed us that our members can't participate in something called their "basecamp" communication network, which makes us think that the individuals involved in the "Federation" spend a bit too much time watching science fiction movies and cartoons. We here at the Tea Party Express prefer a focus that is more grounded in the Constitution and electing tea party conservatives to offices of import in these 2010 elections.
The "Federation" has enabled and empowered the NAACP's racist attacks on the tea party movement, and they should be ashamed of themselves.
"Circular firing squads of groups within the tea party movement attacking one another accomplish nothing, and on this issue the Tea Party Federation is wrong, and has both enabled and empowered the NAACP’s racist attacks on the tea party movement. Which is something they'll realize when they beam themselves back from basecamp."

How is the Weed Party, excuse me the Tea Party is going to organize a politcal campaign when they can't even organize themselves. Taking back "their" country to the way it was. Wow I guess we were all sitting around and sipping tea as if we had no cares in the world. I love how they talk about taking back the country, I did not know it had been stolen. What exactly would they do differently other than complain about every decision that the president has made. Where were they went we went to war x2 and went from a positive budget to a negative budget . where were they when we were torturing people and infringing on the civil rights of Americans. Love to hear their responses with some real facts to back up their claims other than distortions/ or misrepresentatiosn

I will remain strong within the Tea Party movement. I will NOT ALLOW the CHAOS that the leadership in Washington D.C. is creating so to dismantle our coalition as a people united. We will take back America. We are not a socialist nation, never have been and never will be. You cannot EQUALIZE a persons income.. you cannot create a MEDIAN or an acceptable AVERAGING across the board for people to live by. We as a people have a right to work hard and make money, work less and have a little money and work average and make the average median. Stop leveling out our work ethics.. as our convictions to work and provide for our families are greater that our desire to take from our country with government handouts. Down with Socialism. Bring Down the House!

Here lies your real problem; taking your country back from whom, The Chinese who own all of us (DEBT), base on the loans President Bush borrowed to fund the 2 un-paid Wars and the un-paid tax-cuts to the rich who did not ask for them. As an American by birth and heritage, it sounds like the take you country back statement seems aimed at someone who took or stole something from you. Based on Mr. Williams comments it must be them Colored people. So get real with yourselves un-employment for them Colored people doubles that of the so called white people, so what do you want that number to be triple will that give you your country back???
It's a good thing this incident has shined a light on the Tea Party Express. Anyone reasonable person associated with it should get out now. How pitiful to be calling anyone else racist after what the leader has shown.
This statement is so telling. No mention of the horrific letter written by their spokesperson, but they now call the Tea Party Federation names as well. The Tea Party Express, with their plush tour busses sure like being the victim. More from the "me, me, me" crowd. This is getting tiring.
How 'bout you spend a little time looking in the mirror instead of attacking anyone and everyone who is in the least bit critical of your group.
I am really enjoying watching the Tea Party implode!!! It was certainly an interesting read – especially when the Tea Party Express tried to pin the NACCP on being racist. Good Lord...can they even see from beyond their long pinnochio noses? May they go down like the Titanic...but not so gracefully.

I am neither a democrat nor a republican by party affiliation but I still don't understand when these tea baggers state they want to "take back their country." Since when is it "their" country. Wasn't the President failrly elected by a majority of Americans? They make it sound like he came to power in a coup d'etat. Be forewarned tea party, you aren't taking anything back unless it is through the power of the polls and from what I have seen by the candidates you support (Paul, Angle) I would say it isn't likely.

The NAACP only stated the facts, you maybe trying to clean up the truth about the tea party and spin this to your followers or the media but the truth of the matter is all the pictures,film and in print speaks for itself. Your movement has a long way to go to match the well over 500,000 members of the NAACP and we both know if you take on the racist with in the tea party your membership will DROP.
