Sarah Palin used Twitter to laugh off accidentally coining a new word, "refudiate." She joked that since Shakespeare coined new words, why shouldn't she? Word nerds and literary buffs didn't take kindly to Palin comparing herself to Shakespeare, and turned her quip into comedic gold.
Hence, the #shakespalin hashtag, where Twitter users write Shakespearean quotes, Palin-style. Check out the quippiest (did we make that word up, too?) tweets.
Watch: Palin invents 'new' word

" accidentally " ? No, TIME.com, IGNORANTLY ! Her vocabulary and understanding of the English language is not an "accident ". Like everyone else, she is responsible for her spoken words. Don't try to lessen her ignorance. She is a college graduate, Half-Governor of Alaska, and failed US Vice Presidential Candidate of the Flat Earth Republican Party. Everyone should take her just as she is. You betcha !
All about the ego-maniac.
Sarah, you are not coining new words; you just don't know any better!!!
I bet she don't even know who shakespeare was...her and Bush are really good at goofing up the english language...
Palin comparing herself to Shakespeare is nothing, next week (if she can wait that long) she will be comparing herself to God.
OK, she likes to create new words. That is not nearly as bad as feeble brained nobummer. Everyone thought he was intelligent when all he did was read his teleprompter. Make nobummer go off the scripted text and he is gaff prone just like biden. Example, he has been to 57 states with one more to go.
She makes up facts about the country and people, why not words?
Hopefully by 2012 Republicans will wake up agian and see this woman for what she is,,,,unqualified.
OMG!!!!!!! She's at it again......why is it that people see this, at best, average, woman as an icon......God forbid
And this woman is the best the Right has?
It's like Lewis Carol and Grace Slick got in a hot tub full of d-lysergic acid diethylamide-25 together and started to boogy...and from the churning psychadelic primordial bathwater arose the Jabberwocky Barbie. Deciphering her blather is like trying to read Ulysses while in the hot tub with them.
"History, [the GOP] said, is a nightmare from which [we are] trying to awake."
Yes, she such a literary scholar, ain't she? You betcha! I do a lot of travel and I'm always entertained about what those outside the U.S. think of this woman. They get a good laugh out of her and think she's an entertainer; nothing to be taken seriously unless you are missing some brain cells.
I'm certain that Sarah Palin is a very nice lady but from an intellectual standpoint she is George Bush in a skirt. She makes Dan Quayle look like a Mensa.
