Sarah Palin used Twitter to laugh off accidentally coining a new word, "refudiate." She joked that since Shakespeare coined new words, why shouldn't she? Word nerds and literary buffs didn't take kindly to Palin comparing herself to Shakespeare, and turned her quip into comedic gold.

Well if Sarah had one tenth of the ability, talent, respect, and accomplishments of Shakespear people might accept that. But it is well documented that she is a celebrity idiot and just made a stupid error. She does not know the language, how to speak it, how to write it, how to formulate sentences and structure much less come up with new words that are meaningful and have purpose. Please spare us your stupidity and just leave, go back up north and stay there.

Why, WHY, is anybody falling for this? The former half-term Governor obviously has trouble with grammar. The truth is that she didn't know that 'refudiate' is not a word.
Why can't she just admit it, instead of claiming to be some sort of Shakespeare? This is the lowest of excuses, and she is stomping on one of the biggest names in literature to do it.
There is a big difference between being a literary genius and being an uneducated buffoon, it is only the truly ignorant who cannot grasp that concept.
Why don't you admit Sarah that you did not know what you were talking about. It seems all the time you are caught, you compare yourself with someone bigger than anyone can. Do you remember dropping "ink on the palm" and you said Jesus did the same. Now you are Shakespeare with your non-existence word! Something is not OK with you, I presume!
new word creation is fine. tho the comparison to shakespeare is quite a stretch. I'm more inclined to compare her to william sommers who was a court jester for henry the 8th.

She doesn't come close to being on the same level of Shakespeare. He wrote plays, sonnetts and other works that live on today. I sincerely doubt that this ideologue will really received the same respect and following several months, years or more after her word creations have made it in her tweets.

Can someone please tell me why this ignorant woman's opinion on ANYTHING is worth reporting on? She is not educated or wise, she has no real political experience other than being mayor of Wasala and 1/2 term as governor of Alaska, she has acheived nothing of merit, nor has she done anything of value to humanity. Yet CNN and her clueless followers seem to hang on her every word as if she is going to impart some deep wisdom that will make the world a better place. Talk about a Messiah complex, she is so full of...herself, that I think she actually believes she has something of importance to contribute. Shakespeare coined original words where the lexicon had a gap. Palin was trying to use existing words but failed, and is now trying to cover up a demonstration of ignorance.
