House passes unemployment insurance benefits extension

Washington (CNN) - The House of Representatives passed a bill Thursday pushing back the deadline to file for extended unemployment benefits to the end of November. The $34 billion measure, which cleared the Senate Wednesday, now moves to President Barack Obama's desk to be signed into law.

The republicans pushed two unfunded wars ($10 billion per month each) and enacting tax cuts for the wealthy (unfuned). Do YOU feel any trickle down jobs have been created with those trickle down voodoo economics of tax cuts for the wealthy? DO YOU??

The 34 billion equals 3 1/2 days of the Bush/Cheney NO WMD war that killed over 4500 troops(over 35,000 wounded) and killed over 120,000 innocent Iraqies. Up yours GOP

Great, thank you very much Congress! This Administration does something for the not so affluent. Unlike before, sending the work abroad and the people fighting an illegal war to get maimed or killed so that the fat cats can profit. Listening to the GOP makes me sick!

The Democrats deliver for the People once again.....with NO Republican support once again. Republicans hate the working class and if given power will make sure our jobless rate worsens, all worker benefits are removed, and their corporate buddies still use illegal workers with no prosecution and still ship our jobs overseas with no disincentive for doing it. Republicans are ALL about the corporations and NOTHING about the People.

Remember that well come November or you will find yourself reliving the Bush years. All Republicans have in mind is to keep the tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans and to eliminate the Obama tax cuts for the middle class. Same old failed policies with the same disasterous results.

More endless spending and borrowing. I guess since Obozo and the DemoocRATS don't know how to get the economy moving again with private job creation, they will just keep borrowing money to give it to people. Soon we will be up to 5 years of unemployment benefits!

Typical DemocRAT solution... another welfare program.

New Jobless Claims Jump by 37,000 After Hitting 2-Year Low 464,000 new jobless claims.

Don't see this anywhere here on CNN's website 12:45pm Thursday, July 22, 2010. If the numbers were way down or at least down from last week it would be the headline.

What people do not seem to remember IS that those who are unemployed HAVE PAID into the "unemployment taxes" so this money is theirs to begin with.

Leave it to the GOP to have no compassion towards those who are in need.

Are you paying attention America? The GOP wants power back, are you willing to "trust" them with it.........again?!

In NOvember vote NO for the Party of NO!
