(CNN) – Fresh off his re-engagement to Bristol Palin, the Associated Press reports that Levi Johnston is set to appear in an R&B music video in which he will play a young man driven away from his love interest by the young woman's mother.
Johnston, the fiancé of Bristol Palin, has agreed to appear in the video with Brittani Senser, an R&B artist.
"He's looking forward to doing it," Johnston's attorney told the Associated Press on Friday. "It will give him an opportunity to act a little bit in front of a camera. He's done a commercial before, but something like this is a little more involved."
Johnston and Bristol Palin announced their plans to become re-engaged earlier this month, shortly after Johnston issued a public apology to the Palin family, saying that some of his comments about the Palins in the wake of the 2008 presidential campaign are not totally true.
Bristol Palin is the daughter of former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Johnston is the father of Britol's son Tripp, born in the months after the 2008 presidential campaign.
The couple told Us Weekly that Sarah Palin did not know about their plans until after their engagement.
The Palin family issued this statement after learning of the engagement:
"Bristol, at 19, is now a young adult. As parents we obviously want what is best for our children, but Bristol is ultimately in charge of determining what is best for her and her beautiful son."

How sad for those young people who have been studying drama, voice, dance, etc. and can't even get a break........I'm glad I don't watch R&B music videos, because this one would make me very angry.
John McCain chose a token female for the ticket base solely on her good looks. No one could call the man out of touch. Though he lost the election, the phenomenon he created has been cursing and poisoning this country's political scene and culture ever since.
That America remains just this enamoured by this ludicrous pack of hillibillies is its own fault. We never tire of an ambitious yet failed beauty queen and the exploits of her trash family and their awful associates.
You're a shallow and ignorant society, America. And that this comedy persists is your proof. At first, one could have thought "Shame on John McCain." But we could have discarded out national embarassment whenever we wanted. Apparantly, we still do not. Shame on us. The world laughed at us when W made believe he was in charge. Thanks our own self-denigrating lack of taste, they still do.
I've got to hand it to Levi for planning to marry Bristol anyway. Sarah Palin will make even Endora from Bewitched look benign. I hope you and young Bristol and your child have a wonderful future and good luck to the three of you. Sarah: Let the kids alone and let them live their lives.
senator McCain should be held responsible for this horrible families sudden "popularity" and media coverage. We would have never heard of them at all had it not been for him.
Why do we reward moronic behavior ? Bristol is no better than any other young american woman who caught caught in a delicate position. After Levi trashed the Palin family as he was some wounded animal, he makes nice and tells her he loves him. That was one too many trips to the Palin breadbox for this opportunistic mercenary. After all, Bristol was already the governor's daughter when Levi made his move.
There's no shortage of gall in any of the Palin bunch. But guess that's the American way, take the money when you can get it and run. The public is fickle and will soon tire of them, hopefully.
He should do a great job then, but hopefully he won't have that many lines.
Actually when I read this, I was hoping that it wasn't on *The Secret Life of the American Teenager* Bristol was horrible on that, but that show has writings that would make a person choke too death watching it.

We are in a recession and individuals who have paid their dues by staying in school and getting a good education, cannot find jobs, and a great number of them are even losing their jobs. Yet, this guy who who has done nothing to achieve a higher education is being rewarded with an acting gig. There is definitely something wrong with this system and it also makes you wonder if education is really rewarded.
