(CNN) - Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty has scheduled his fourth visit to Iowa since last summer, a mid-August trip that will feature a stop at the Iowa State Fair - a rite of passage for presidential hopefuls.

The trip will be Pawlenty's second to Iowa in as many weeks. Fresh off visits to Afghanistan and Washington, he is set to spend three days in eastern Iowa campaigning for state Republican candidates beginning this Saturday.

The focus of his August 11-12 sojourn will be a series of fundraisers for local GOP candidates, but a Pawlenty aide said the governor will be sure to swing by the state fair, in all its deep-fried glory, on August 12.

Tough choice, the pig races or Tim Pawlenty.

I'd stick with the pig racing. Pawlenty is just another wet dish rag republican peddling the same failed policies that landed us where we are today. Selling the same old crap and hoping for a different result. Nothing to see here – the pigs would be more entertaining.

He needs to stay home and take care of Minnesota. Finish the job he started and maybe find a way to correct some of his major mistakes.

Who cares what this nobody wannabe says about anything? He is wasting his donor's money and is never going to be president and he knows it. He craves attention or something.

Tim Pawlenty aligned himself with the radical twins Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann. He is not presidential material.

Pawlenty who?? He is a notorius liar. He will soon run out of gas. No sensible American will vote for this loser. He is a dumb head with no plan. I pray and hope that the American people who are too blind at htis time to see that Mr. Obama is the best they have. And that the Republican has successfully played on their emotion. They know people are going through extreme difficult time and are vulnerable. So instead of working with Obama to make things better, they work onthe minds of the people to let them think that he is not doing anything. They are selfish and all they want is to being Power. They don't care a kick about the poor and middle class. People read, listen and open up your eyes.. Get inform don't let them fool you.

  7. Save America, impeach the treasonous republicans

And still the Iowans do not know who this man from a neighboring state is. Minnesota is fortunate that he is spending a lot of time out of state.

Tim Pawlenty should stop campaigning for president and get back to doing his job. He has been the worst governor ever. Says he has not raised taxes but instead has leveled "fees" which in reality is a tax. He has let our infrastructure crumble (35W bridge collapse, 13 dead), our roads are crumbling, he's cutting education. He has left a financial mess for the next governor who takes office.

He should have done what Sarah Palin did, quit his job because he is not doing it and is wasting taxpayer money by pretending he is. He has basically been absent for 18 months while he is testing the waters for a presidential run.

Worst governor we've ever had in my lifetime and I'm no spring chicken.

There are 6 Republicans that will NEVER get my vote. T-Paw (the absentee MN Governor) is just one of them.

Also won't vote for a mormon, or anyone who has asked a spouse for a divorce while she was in hospital fighting cancer.

The other 3? Pick the one that wins the nomination and the two runners-up. That makes 6.

Awesome. Now that's exactly what we need. A governor willing to flush his state's education system down the toilet to run for president. Can't wait.

This guy doesn't have a snowball chance in Hades to win the GOP nomination, let alone the Presidency. Whoever is advising him is doing him and the State of Minnesota a disservice.

After the Iowa State Fair, Pawlenty will take his kids to a PlayWorld miniature golf in Whizzer, Idaho, followed by a visit to Dinosaur Village in East Jases, Kentucky. Yawn.

Pawlenty should have quit as Gov of MN just like his "pal" Palin quit her job as Gov. of AK. He would have been doing MN a favor (just like Palin did for AK) and besides, he's obviously not interested in doing THAT job anyway . . . . just like Palin . . ..two T-peas in a pod :-)

Amazing he's Governor of MN when it appears he's not even in MN 95% of the time. Who's picking up the tab for all of his travels?

Pawlenty has been an abject failure here in Minnesota. I'll be surprised if he gets a job cleaning toilets after his tenure as Governor.
