(CNN) - Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty has scheduled his fourth visit to Iowa since last summer, a mid-August trip that will feature a stop at the Iowa State Fair - a rite of passage for presidential hopefuls.
The trip will be Pawlenty's second to Iowa in as many weeks. Fresh off visits to Afghanistan and Washington, he is set to spend three days in eastern Iowa campaigning for state Republican candidates beginning this Saturday.
The focus of his August 11-12 sojourn will be a series of fundraisers for local GOP candidates, but a Pawlenty aide said the governor will be sure to swing by the state fair, in all its deep-fried glory, on August 12.
