(CNN) - Former Agriculture Department employee Shirley Sherrod said Thursday she will pursue a lawsuit against conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart.
Breitbart posted an edited video clip of Sherrod appearing to say she discriminated against a white farmer looking for assistance. The clip showed her addressing a chapter of the NAACP.
"I will definitely do it," she said when asked whether she was considering legal action. Sherrod made her remarks during an appearance at the National Association of Black Journalists convention in San Diego, California.
Breitbart "had to know that he was targeting me," Sherrod said. "At this point, he hasn't apologized. I don't want it at this point, and he'll definitely hear from me."

She wouldnt have a chance if it was just straight libel, because everything that was posted was true. But when he told people that it said something that it didnt that's when he got in trouble. You can put something out there that just gives an impression, but if you then try to sell it as something it isnt – you're toast.
Besides, she's got the White House backing her up on this one. She's gonna win, and Breitbart will be out of business for at least acouple of weeks.
Great, Breitbart and his racist ilk deserve the full weight of a law suit. He used this woman's statement without knowing anything about her to make her something she wasn't , a racist like him. Breitbart could stand to learn a thing or two on judging people on the content of their character , just like Ms. Sherrod and the farmer who had the courage to speak out on her behalf.

With luck it will start a trend of holding the Jack Boot right responsible for the lies they tell about their opponents. She should also sue everyone else involved from Fox news to the White House. Good luck... problem is no one is mentioning that he DID have up the clip of her saying that this was a lesson she had learned. He did not only have the inflammatory parts. She will lose this case.

America is a great, wonderful nation. But, few Americans are willing to own up to their mistakes. This wasn't even a mistake! He deliberately edited a video to push poo into the NAACP's face by showcasing their alleged racist mentality. He presented that video as fact, when it was defiantly not fact. He should take responsibility for his slimy "journalism" and pay up for what he did.

I agree sue him and then Bill O'Riley and Sean Hannidy and Glen Beck and Fox "News". They should realize that they have a responsiblity to do more than spew hate and lies about people and that they will have to pay for doing that.
BTW for those who want to pin this on Fox news... they never aired the video or mentioned her name by the time she was forced to resign, if she needs to sue then sue the people who wrongfully forced her to resign....

Fox and Glen Beck should be sued because Beck demanded Obama APOLOGIZE for having this lady fired and give her the job back. Obama, then did exactly as Beck told him, and he woudn't have without realizing that his little Alinsky game backfired as GLEN BECK WAS IN ON THIS LIB HATE FEST THE WHOLE TIME.
