Palin: Brewer has the 'cojones' that Obama does not

In a television interview that aired Sunday, former Gov. Palin used a distinctly masculine metaphor to describe how Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, left, and President Obama are approaching border security.
In a television interview that aired Sunday, former Gov. Palin used a distinctly masculine metaphor to describe how Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, left, and President Obama are approaching border security.

(CNN) – Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has come to the defense once again of one of her fellow "mama grizzlies" but this time using a distinctly masculine metaphor.

In the wake of the Obama administration's partial judicial victory last week in the litigation over Arizona's controversial immigration law, Palin said on "Fox News Sunday" that Arizona's female Republican governor has "the cojones that our president does not" when it comes to securing America's borders.

"This is a temporary suspension of some of the key elements in the law that [Arizona Gov.] Jan Brewer pushed hard for Arizonans and for the rest of the country to have the result of us being more secure," said Palin.

She added, "And, Jan Brewer, bless her heart, she's going to do all that she can to continue down the litigation path to allow secure borders because she's – Jan Brewer has the cojones that our president does not have to look out for all Americans – not just Arizonans – but all Americans in this desire of ours to secure our borders and allow legal immigration to help build this country. . . . if our own president will not enforce a federal law, more power to Jan Brewer . . . to do what our president won't do."

According to Merriam-Webster.com, the word "cojones" is a Spanish term for male reproductive organs. It also can be used as slang for "nerve" or "boldness."

The Tea Party favorite also said that it was "idiotic" in the current economic situation to let the Bush tax cuts expire for higher-income brackets as Obama and Capitol Hill Democrats plan to do.

"To reduce deficit spending and our enormous debt, you rein in spending, you cut the budget. You don't take more from the private sector and grow government with it. And that's exactly what Obama has in mind," Palin said.

Making a reference to an event in February of this year where cameras caught notes about policy points written on the palm of her hand, Palin also poked fun at herself.

"My palm isn't large enough to have written down" all the effects of Obama's plan to let the tax cuts expire, Palin said, pointing to an ink-stained palm.

Palin said letting the cuts expire would cause a total tax increase of $3.8 trillion over the next ten years and she explained that the notes on her hand read "'$3.8 trillion, next 10 years,' so that I didn't say 3.7 and then get dinged by the liberals, saying I didn't know what I was talking about."

Asked about her PAC's recently released campaign-style video championing her nascent "mama grizzly" movement, Palin explained her string of recent endorsements of often underdog conservative female candidates.

"It just so happens that these common-sense, constitutional, conservative women are willing to put it all on the line," she said. "And they're going to make a lot of sacrifices in order to serve their country. They have a lot to contribute. They just all happen to be women and I support them strongly and wholly."

Palin added, "That video was all about supporting those women – men too – with common sense, with a desire to protect our Constitution, and the free market in America – and turn some things around in this country."

Palin was characteristically noncommittal when it came to the issue of her own political future – namely, whether she has her eye on a White House bid in 2012.

"Well, I've never committed to running for president," she said. "People are going to be worried about 2012 in future months, but that's not where my focus is."

Really ms palin - you have the gutts to talk about cojones(huevos) – when you ran away from office because it did not serve your own purposes! - I think that you and ms brewer should have been informed about the law before stepping on it.

In other words, she is vulgar and not at all a lady, and furthermore not a Christian, for her to say that the president has not balls, and that is what she said, using the Spanish terminology is not an excuse for her bold and vulgar language regarding the President, I find it morally and logically incomprehensible for Palin to say that a woman has balls but the President does not. And now we know what the difference between Palin and a Pit bull is, the Pit bull at least walks like a woman. In English men have testicles in Spanish they have cojones. Is she proud that she is discussing Obamas private parts this way? No respect for this empty heady, money hungry, parasite of human being.

Palin is wrong once again. If Brewer was really interested in changing policy or getting Congress off its duff as it were, then she would have been lobbing the Congress to do more and spend more for getting something done on the boarder.

I agree that something must be done, but to have so many stated with different laws that only the federal government should be making is wrong. Brewer should have known this from the start and learned it the hard way when her ass was handed to her in court.

Unfortunately Sarah Palin felt it necessary to state in Spanish that Brewer has more "cojones" than Obama . Anatomy aside, why did she have to hijack another language to refer to "testicles" or more crudely put "balls"? Mama grizzlie afraid of offending in English?

She clearly believes that while speaking to Americans in English she is in more polite company than with Spanish speaking people. She made a clumsey attempt for a less vulgar word for "balls" so she found it necessary to switch to another language and used an equally vulgar word but because it was in a different language apparently it didn't count.
I guess being a "mama grizzlie" is synonymous with having no sensitivity, no judgement and no class.

Sarah Palin is the face of the Idiot Nation–empty words; no clue; just a vague idea of a Constitution she hasn't read, hasn't studied, doesn't understand. Sad, just sad.

Funny article. What earthly idea would Mrs. Palin have regarding "cojones"? This person quit mid-term. Governor of Alaska – quit, rather than face legal woes, saying she was sparing the taxpayers legal fees in the process. Gaining speaking fees instead. ( you betcha )
Frankly, if it weren't for "twitter", I seriously doubt the lady could find her way back to Alaska. Her books? Not interested, nor is anyone whom I would associate with. I guess she is the human version of a traffic accident. You shouldn't stare, but you cant help it.
I understand she plays well to the folks who watch "Fox News Sunday" (a true contradiction of terms) All 1327 of them.

There are 2 simple ways to reduce the deficit.
    1. reduce spending
    2. increase revenue

Those 3.7 or 3.8 trillion dollars will reduce the deficit by that amount. Plain and simple. Likewise that same amount of dollars has been added since the time of the Bush tax cuts. Cutting taxes alone does nothing but increase the deficit. The rich will not be hurting by paying the old tax rates. They did just fine in the past.

ps increasing the military budget like wise will increase the deficit.

    Dear dimwit from Alaska,
What would a private corporation or small business do it they had an increase in the cost of their product . Would they lower their charged price for said product? You betcha not! They would increase their price to cover the cost increase. Why do dimwit rebublicans and tea baggers expect the government to do differently. Shouldn't the government be run like a private business?

Obama didnt shoot this law down, and the judge that did was not put on the bench by him. Of course Palin probably doenst know that. Sad part is I am actually for the AZ law but I am ashamed that it puts me in the same thinking pattern as the big quitter.

Hate to admit it ..But for the first time I agree with Palin..She has it right when it comes to ms Brewer.
The woman is standing up for her state and her people in the way that we have been taught our whole lives to expect .
Illegals now are standing up and threatening Americans, and nothing is being done.
We go to war in Iraq and Afghanistan in the pretense of protecting our country, then sit idly by while foreigners from Mexico come in and threaten us..
    Amazing.

No "cojones"? President Obama wasted his time on the View. He should have gone on the Jerry Springer Show and found out who is the father of the girls....

I wouldn't call it "cojones" I would say Brewer is "intellectually celebate" along with the Palin, for whom "challenged" is clearly an understatement. I think its a dang lie that Obama hasn't been enforcing the law, he has sent more men on the border than an other President. Maybe you might not like the way and how fast he does it, but it is a flat lie, and disinformation that the fedeal government isn't enforcing the law.

Well, Well, Well – the functionally-illiterate, female George Bush has struck again. Does she ever engage her feeble brain before putting her giant mouth in gear?

Or, maybe she is so generally grossly ignorant that she failed sex ed and doesn't know which gender has ovaries and which has testicles.

One can only gather – from all of her communication gaffes – she IS the female George Bush and is wholly incapable of opening her mouth without demonstrating her failed ability to utter a functional, non-embarrassing sentence.

And people actually want her as our country's leader. Likely as not, these people are cut of the same cloth as Ms. Palin – How Scary Is That?!?

Once again, English seems like a second language to Palin. Newsflash, Half-Gov. Palin – President Obama has deported more illegals in his short time in office than President Bush did in 8 years.

This from a woman WHO QUIT! Perhaps she did not realize that, until Gov Brewer realized her poll number where down, only asked THE PRESIDENT FOR 250 additional troops at the border – he is sending over 500! Is this enough perhaps not, but this goes back further than this administration and includes BOTH sides of the aisle. I suggest Sarah Palin stay in Alaska and take care of her own mess.
Damn right she is worried about letting the tax cuts expire for the wealthy, becaused NOW SHE IS PART OF THAT GROUP!

A comment like that doesn't surprise me coming from trailer trash like her. No matter how much money she gets from her trailer trash following she'll still be trailer trash. She's nothing more than uneducated trailer trash with a big mouth. Nothing more.
