Palin: Brewer has the 'cojones' that Obama does not

In a television interview that aired Sunday, former Gov. Palin used a distinctly masculine metaphor to describe how Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, left, and President Obama are approaching border security.
In a television interview that aired Sunday, former Gov. Palin used a distinctly masculine metaphor to describe how Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, left, and President Obama are approaching border security.

(CNN) – Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has come to the defense once again of one of her fellow "mama grizzlies" but this time using a distinctly masculine metaphor.

In the wake of the Obama administration's partial judicial victory last week in the litigation over Arizona's controversial immigration law, Palin said on "Fox News Sunday" that Arizona's female Republican governor has "the cojones that our president does not" when it comes to securing America's borders.

"This is a temporary suspension of some of the key elements in the law that [Arizona Gov.] Jan Brewer pushed hard for Arizonans and for the rest of the country to have the result of us being more secure," said Palin.

She added, "And, Jan Brewer, bless her heart, she's going to do all that she can to continue down the litigation path to allow secure borders because she's – Jan Brewer has the cojones that our president does not have to look out for all Americans – not just Arizonans – but all Americans in this desire of ours to secure our borders and allow legal immigration to help build this country. . . . if our own president will not enforce a federal law, more power to Jan Brewer . . . to do what our president won't do."

According to Merriam-Webster.com, the word "cojones" is a Spanish term for male reproductive organs. It also can be used as slang for "nerve" or "boldness."

The Tea Party favorite also said that it was "idiotic" in the current economic situation to let the Bush tax cuts expire for higher-income brackets as Obama and Capitol Hill Democrats plan to do.

"To reduce deficit spending and our enormous debt, you rein in spending, you cut the budget. You don't take more from the private sector and grow government with it. And that's exactly what Obama has in mind," Palin said.

Making a reference to an event in February of this year where cameras caught notes about policy points written on the palm of her hand, Palin also poked fun at herself.

"My palm isn't large enough to have written down" all the effects of Obama's plan to let the tax cuts expire, Palin said, pointing to an ink-stained palm.

Palin said letting the cuts expire would cause a total tax increase of $3.8 trillion over the next ten years and she explained that the notes on her hand read "'$3.8 trillion, next 10 years,' so that I didn't say 3.7 and then get dinged by the liberals, saying I didn't know what I was talking about."

Asked about her PAC's recently released campaign-style video championing her nascent "mama grizzly" movement, Palin explained her string of recent endorsements of often underdog conservative female candidates.

"It just so happens that these common-sense, constitutional, conservative women are willing to put it all on the line," she said. "And they're going to make a lot of sacrifices in order to serve their country. They have a lot to contribute. They just all happen to be women and I support them strongly and wholly."

Palin added, "That video was all about supporting those women – men too – with common sense, with a desire to protect our Constitution, and the free market in America – and turn some things around in this country."

Palin was characteristically noncommittal when it came to the issue of her own political future – namely, whether she has her eye on a White House bid in 2012.

"Well, I've never committed to running for president," she said. "People are going to be worried about 2012 in future months, but that's not where my focus is."

Its just theater. Politcal hackery that is meaningless. Palin, immigration, fox news. Its just a side show clown that is designed to make money from the easily amused(and distracted) american public. Palin has your best interests at heart like she can focus and keep an honest job.

She has no idea what that word means! Someone wrote it for her, as are all of her statements. I believe she is just the FRONT person for the GOP who can get away with outragious statements without the GOP being criticized! She has backed almost every woman running for or in office. She doesn't know these people nor what their agenda. She continues to think she knows everything about everyone, when she knows nothing about anything. The GOP is using her for their purposes and she doesn't have the smarts to see it. As long as she gets big bucks, she'll say anything they give her. How sad.

Let's hear the bleating sheep Conservatards (ib, snow, doug, Ancient Texan, etc) all proclaim what a great person Palin is. Anyone that shows as much disrespect as Palin and her goon followers do for the President should stand in front of a firing squad, or a good stoning, Iranian-style.

I guess Sarah knows all about cojones. She is the one with 'em in her family. Or maybe she cut them off Levi and is wearing them herself. But seriously, This kind of flipness when speaking aobut the president, is besides being disrespectful of the highest office in the land, tawdry language worthy of a Times Square hooker.

First Sarah Palin was an expert in Russian-American relations. Now she is an expert in Spanish. And all while being the most ignorant, illiterate person in America. While the Alaskan Wonder Woman's wonders never cease?

Obviously "Our Preseident" enjoys being on The View laughing and joking while many United States citizens along the border are suffering and hurting because our Federal Government will not protect the borders of The United States. Republican, Democrate...it does not matter...President Bush, rather conservative, President Obama, rather liberal... They will not do the job. Thankfully real people like Sarah Palin and Jan Brewer have the courage, sincere concern, plus the determination to do what is best for U.S. Citizens and the best for people all over the world. May God continue to bless them...real good! –Joe–

Why is it that it is now that immigration is such the hot topic with the Republicans? What are they so afraid of, for years people and presidents have been trying to deal with this, but it keeps being pushed aside. Bush started the wall but didn't finish it. Bush proposed amensty but people didn't like it. But all of the sudden it is Obama is weak on immigration and doesn't have the balls to deal with the situation. To all of you republicans shut up because you have had your chance and did nothing.

Why don't you just come out and say it you don't like anything Obama is doing because you think he is trying to copy you. You think no idea he and his administration is doing is right even if you all had the same idea.

Which is worse America? Watching people in Mexico applauding the overturning of this law.....or watching the Republicans applaud and cheer when we were turned down for the Olympics in Chicago?

So, CNN Ticker, as nauseating as it was, I actually watched Palin
on Fox News Sunday, and came away with the same thoughts that
I have always had. She is on the top 10 list of the most disgusting
people in America. Her cutesy answers were typical of someone who
has no answers, nor does she have a credible leg to stand on.
She has no clue regarding the Bush tax cuts, and no clue regarding
immigration reform, and that list she was reading from became
blurred in the screeching. So, continue your infatualtion with this not
that pretty dunce, and I will continue to believe that you have either lost
your minds, or you are making a feeble attempt at comedy, or
you have a deal in the works with Faux News, or she is paying you.
Any and all of the above is quite pathetic.

Its funny how republicans are pushing so hard for this "illegal immigration" issue now and you heard nothing from them throughout the Bush years.
Now all of these problems have started and become intolerable in only the last 1 1/2 years. It has somehow become Obamas fault. This president has spent more money, sent more technology and more national guard to the borders than any ten presidents. I only hope that republicans take more of a whipping in November to wake them up. McCain, that many here in AZ say is the answer, was a few years ago for amnesty, and id's.
The lies being told to the AZ people are staggering. The sheriff of Pinal cty even states in an ad for McCain that "now that Obama has made it impossible to protect our borders". What crap that is, but, it'll buy a ton of dumb republican votes.

What an "inspiration" Palin is; always words of ignorance out of that big mouth. Can I go throw up now? I'll take Weiner any day; wish every Dem would fight back with that kind of fierce passion. At least he has a brain and can think for himself. Had a friend who was actually in Wasila this week-end on business; says most everyone up there can't stand Palin. Great testimony.
