Palin: Brewer has the 'cojones' that Obama does not

In a television interview that aired Sunday, former Gov. Palin used a distinctly masculine metaphor to describe how Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, left, and President Obama are approaching border security.
In a television interview that aired Sunday, former Gov. Palin used a distinctly masculine metaphor to describe how Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, left, and President Obama are approaching border security.

(CNN) – Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has come to the defense once again of one of her fellow "mama grizzlies" but this time using a distinctly masculine metaphor.

In the wake of the Obama administration's partial judicial victory last week in the litigation over Arizona's controversial immigration law, Palin said on "Fox News Sunday" that Arizona's female Republican governor has "the cojones that our president does not" when it comes to securing America's borders.

"This is a temporary suspension of some of the key elements in the law that [Arizona Gov.] Jan Brewer pushed hard for Arizonans and for the rest of the country to have the result of us being more secure," said Palin.

She added, "And, Jan Brewer, bless her heart, she's going to do all that she can to continue down the litigation path to allow secure borders because she's – Jan Brewer has the cojones that our president does not have to look out for all Americans – not just Arizonans – but all Americans in this desire of ours to secure our borders and allow legal immigration to help build this country. . . . if our own president will not enforce a federal law, more power to Jan Brewer . . . to do what our president won't do."

According to Merriam-Webster.com, the word "cojones" is a Spanish term for male reproductive organs. It also can be used as slang for "nerve" or "boldness."

The Tea Party favorite also said that it was "idiotic" in the current economic situation to let the Bush tax cuts expire for higher-income brackets as Obama and Capitol Hill Democrats plan to do.

"To reduce deficit spending and our enormous debt, you rein in spending, you cut the budget. You don't take more from the private sector and grow government with it. And that's exactly what Obama has in mind," Palin said.

Making a reference to an event in February of this year where cameras caught notes about policy points written on the palm of her hand, Palin also poked fun at herself.

"My palm isn't large enough to have written down" all the effects of Obama's plan to let the tax cuts expire, Palin said, pointing to an ink-stained palm.

Palin said letting the cuts expire would cause a total tax increase of $3.8 trillion over the next ten years and she explained that the notes on her hand read "'$3.8 trillion, next 10 years,' so that I didn't say 3.7 and then get dinged by the liberals, saying I didn't know what I was talking about."

Asked about her PAC's recently released campaign-style video championing her nascent "mama grizzly" movement, Palin explained her string of recent endorsements of often underdog conservative female candidates.

"It just so happens that these common-sense, constitutional, conservative women are willing to put it all on the line," she said. "And they're going to make a lot of sacrifices in order to serve their country. They have a lot to contribute. They just all happen to be women and I support them strongly and wholly."

Palin added, "That video was all about supporting those women – men too – with common sense, with a desire to protect our Constitution, and the free market in America – and turn some things around in this country."

Palin was characteristically noncommittal when it came to the issue of her own political future – namely, whether she has her eye on a White House bid in 2012.

"Well, I've never committed to running for president," she said. "People are going to be worried about 2012 in future months, but that's not where my focus is."

Those Palin females seem to know a lot about COJONES male and female. I wonder if she can see Russian COJONES from her front porch. Where did this female come from. She doesn't appear to have a shameful bone in her body.

There is a better way to resolve the matter of illegal immigration and securing our borders. Giving the law enforcement free will to intimidate, harrass and question on the basis of appearing "illegal" is a grave injustice. Many Americans seem to forget that many of our fore-fathers were immigrants as well, whether by their own free will or the forced will of others.

If people would drop party lines and personal bias and hatch out a deal to convert long time and hard working illegals into legitimate citizens, I believe it would ultimately prove most beneficial for our economy and society.

Palin needs to focus on true journalism and stay out of politics! Last time I checked, she re-signed from her position of governor. On a side note, please quite spreading your foolish ideologies in our governor's race in SC. The voter population is more informed than you think.

Palin & Brewer: stupid is as stupid does. Both are light weights in the knowledge and thinking for turning US around. They are simply serving the rich (they're very well off) as the middle class is slowly exterminated. The genius of Palin is her charisma and ability to tap the vast pool of ignorant Americans to go against their own interests. In the '40s, a man led a nation to complete destruction based on his mesmorizing ability to connect with unquestioning people.

I still think Sarah palin is an idiot. She did manage to get this one right however, even if she did use a Spanish word she first heard a week ago. Obama has screwed up twice lately. Once by putting the rights of Mexican criminals ahead of American citizens. Next by dissin' the Boyscouts and hanging out with the dingbats on The View.

    Palin +1
    Obama -2

    It hurts just wriing that.

Sarah lacks class. She has made it through life on her looks, certainly not her brains. She isn't enough of a leader to even recognize that skill in others. To use language she might understand – "some got brains and some got nice headlights". There, is that crude enough for you Sarah?

I congratulate Jan Brewer for taking the steps to block access to America by non-Americans. I can not help but be offended by anything Sarah Palin says though, her lack of depth and understanding leaves me gasping for intelligence every time I read anything that she has said. Can't she just go back to Alaska and fish, or something? Perhaps she could build a taller fence, or take classes on being a grandmother, or find pigs to decorate with lipstick, or go to a soccer game. Anything, anything other than being in the public eye.

You can now add "vulgar" to brainless, clueless, ignorant, insipid, stupid, vain, incompetent and all the other negative adjectives for Mrs. Palin.

Nouns include quitter, phony, scaremonger, twit, tramp and fool.

it's more slang to mean "BALLS" signifying nerve or guts– I find it totally inappropriate and vulgar for her to say it. The fact that it is a spanish word and really signifies balls does not lessen the vulgarity of it when said by an english speaking person.

President Obama is a man with dignity and intelligence – how about
    you Sarah Palin.
This answers the question why you have a dysfunctional family.
Your children do not have a role model.
Instead of being home you are running for the presidency.
Face it you lost in 2008 and if you are the best that the Republican
    Party has God help us.

Sarah Sarah Sarah, The Governor Brewer has the cojones to serve out her term unlike you. It is easy to be a pot shotter who does not have to face the electorate. Palin is a dilettante not a leader like Brewer.

Sarah keep yelling from the sidelines you will never get back into the game.
