Washington (CNN) – Rep. Michele Bachmann is opening up her own national political action committee.
Paperwork for the new PAC, called MICHELEPAC, was filed Friday with the Federal Election Commission. The committee will allow the Minnesota Republican to raise funds for distribution to candidates nationwide.
MICHELEPAC, which stands for Many Individual Conservatives Helping Elect Leaders Everywhere, has yet to report raising any money.
National PACs are not uncommon among House members and MICHELEPAC will be an asset for Bachmann, who is among the most effective fundraisers in the House. According to FEC statements, Bachmann has brought in $4.56 million this election cycle.
A website for the PAC, listed on FEC forms, is not yet active.
This is the second conservative group the congresswoman has recently formed. Just over two weeks ago, Bachmann formed the House Tea Party caucus, of which she is currently chair.

This is a very disturbed woman and she needs to be voted out of office. If Bachman and Palin are the cream of the crop for the Republican Party then this country IS in serious trouble.

We want our country to progress and be happy and safe. Since 911 happened on Bush's watch as did this horrible recession, the Rethug party is probably not the best answer to our problems.

Before on Heath Care ... if you have NO health Insurance coverage for you and your family... she gave you the advice to just go into the Emergency ROOM... Yes.. you heard it right... No problem.. Does Frau Bachmann take her own advice.. well she has her own health Insurance. thanks to you the taxpayer you are paying her premiums since she works as Federal Employee..I guess she considers herself an employee.. Not for you or me but her so called Conservative cause and agenda....Ask Ms. Backmann how much the hospital is going to charge you and how do you pay the bill...Huh?
While I am very supportive of conservative women getting more involved in politics, I would like to see some more rational ones come on the scene. Michelle and Sarah are both a bit too looney to be taken seriously. Perhaps they have learned that the more looney they are the more ink they get.
People of Minnesota have got to be insane to have elected this nut . What planet is she from? Are they not embarassed from all this stupid stuff she says and does?
If legislators would spend half as much time legislating as they do thinking up cutesey names for laws or PACs, they could be much more productive.
As a Minnesotan, I'm familiar with Ms Bachmann's district, I grew up there. It would be nice if this woman would actually spend some time trying to help the people in her district instead of promoting herself and other crazy members of the tea party. Her district has the hightest unemployment and foreclosure rates in the State, yet she constantly votes against anything that would help average Americans. She even stood up for BP, and critisized the President for making them pay for the clean-up. I hope my fellow Minnesotans vote this woman out of office, and then she can spend all her time raising money for the other do nothing Republicans across the country.

What has happened to the once-proud Republican Party? Today their most popular members are Palin, Bachman, Cheney, the politicians in South Carolina whose behavior can only be described as shameful and the leaders of the Tea Party movement who embarass and shame this country. Their speakers are Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck and Fox News whose sole agenda is to bring down the Obama administration. Where are the Republicans of intelligence, class, dignity, good will who truly want to help the country? Where are your John Warners, the former Senator from Va. and other Republicans who once stood for diginity and honor? As a senior citizen and a former Republican, the people and agenda that now represents the Party are both disgusting and disappointing. How any reasonable person could ever seen Sarah Palin in any position of power truly escapes me! Never again will you receive my vote or financial support.

The voters of Minnesota must surely be in the mood for more comedy if they donate money or vote for Bachman. Her ideas and words are more the rantings of a lunatic than an elected official. How anyone can take her seriously is a mystery.
