Washington (CNN) – On President Obama's 49th birthday, the Republican National Committee is out with a new website full of electronic greetings intended to slam the president and national Democrats. The Democratic National Committee is hitting back, referring to the RNC's move as "tired, childish, political games that do nothing to help anyone."
The new site, baracksbirthdaycards.com, hosts 11 digital birthday cards from which users can choose. All of the cards are mock greetings from various political or governmental figures to the president. The mock messages come mostly from Democrats with the exception of the card featuring Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, who passed on the GOP primary earlier this year and is now mounting a non-party-affiliated bid for Florida's open Senate seat.
One card features Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley, former New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine, and former Virginia gubernatorial hopeful Creigh Deeds. Since Obama took office, Coakley, Corzine, and Deeds have all lost high-profile statewide races to Republican opponents.
"We got you that dinner jacket you had your eye on," the card featuring Coakley, Corzine, and Deeds says. "We noticed you were missing some coattails."
In a reference to two very recent Democratic ethics cases in the House of Representatives, a card featuring an image of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says "What do you give the guy who has everything? How about Charlie Rangel and Maxine Waters? Hugs and Kisses!"
The card featuring Vice President Joe Biden is tied to Biden's history of making verbal gaffes. "For your birthday, you won't hear a f@#&ing peep out of me."
The mock card from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid takes issue with Democrats' approach to the economy. "Sorry no gift this year. I'm going to need every dime to defend our failed economic policies."
Other mock cards available on the site feature White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, Obama senior adviser David Axelrod, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, Rep. Charlie Rangel of New York, Gov. Crist, Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry, and former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.
Once users select a card, they can provide the e-mail addresses of up 20 of their friends to send the card to at the same time it gets sent to the president.
The new website also has a page where users can donate to the RNC.
In an e-mail to CNN, a spokesman for the DNC suggested that the new site was a waste of time.
The RNC's "time would probably be better spent coming up with new ideas to help American families, instead of on these tired, childish, political games that do nothing to help anyone," DNC national press secretary Hari Sevugan said.

This is the most disrespectful, childish act I have ever seen from any political party. Let's remember, like it or not, Obama is our President and should be treated with utmost respect. This appears to be such an act of desperation; if the Republicans are convinced they will win back the Senate and the House, why would they produce something this childish?
You stay classy RNC... How is this at all productive? There has to be a better use of RNC donations.
Glad our politicians and their supporters have important things to do today. Man o man – very sad.
Childish at best. I'm not sure I want these "people" and I use the term loosely, representing me anywhere. I generally vote for the candidate who has my best interests at heart, democrat, republican or independent. I cannot see voting for these "children" to represent anyone. Isn't it time we put them in timeout?
Real classy GOP. Are the majority of you 13 years old? You sound like a bunch of 8th graders.
Oh how nice of the RNC lol. RNC keep saying obama policies has failed. well i like to think back where the ecomony was in 2008 and where we are now. looks to me things are looking better. Heres a fact for all the neo cons, TP, gop or whatever else u guys call urself, jobs are the last thing that come back after a bad recession (damn near depression). I dont get the gop thinking, lets see they raise hell about debt, following the constitution, and block unemployment benefits. and now they to change the constitution and spend 2 trillion on tax cuts for the rich.
This is the creative ideas the GOP come up with and waste money on. screw the American life and people is the only slogan the GOP stands for.
The Biden card is hilarious!
Lovely.
I am so proud of our Republican party.
Maybe when they are done with this little art project, they can consider doing some work for the people of the US, rather than just trying to make the US fail.
Low class from the GOP, but what else would anyone expect. At this point they're perpetually scraping the bottom of the barrel.
What a bunch of classless losers
This is what the republican party has devolved to: failed attempts at sophmoric humor. Our founding fathers would be so proud.
My 4-year old grandson has more class, more intelligence, and more wit than all republican politicians combined! What a vapid bunch of individuals they are – and that's the very kindest thing I can say about them.
RNC/GOP from its "classy" usual side of "family values" to instill in our children. Great leading by example. Other than smear tactics, what does the RNC/GOP have really to offer? Sarah Palin, maybe, which is pitifully below nothingness?
Do the republicans have anything better to do? The only thing I've been hearing from them is a blame game. No idea no nothing. The oartty that lincoln built is dead
Hey a "classy" political group doin a "classy" thing for the president on his birthday. Gotta love those "classy" GOPers.
Wow, and I thought my 5yr old was childish. They make him look like Einstein.
This is an excellent use of money! Way to go RNC! You guys are brilliant! And in your response, when you slam Democratic use of money, that's just as brilliant......"hey, they're doing it too" Effing children. Get a life. Thanks for getting paid all that money and you don't have the nuts to step up and do something bigger. Glad I'm busting my ass all day long for lousy pay while you go to your meetings and lunches and the best you can come up with are stupid cards? Face it folks, they just keep gettin richer. And even if you're a working class Republican or Democrat, you know damn well that regardless of what party, the folks in Washington don't give a shit about any of us. They're takin your donations to make silly cards? Really? They spend their entire time figuring out how to look good without actually doing anything. Playin on words all the time and creating laws the benefit companies with lots of money to add to their campaign. Corporations control America. Not the people.
I never thought my party will go this low
Cheap shot
What are the GOP all 4th graders?????? What about a card with Cheney using the F word, he did it out loud and at another person. Bidden said it quietly and to describe something.
GOP the party of "Na Na Na Na NAH!"
About the level of class and honor I would expect from the Rethugs.
How do people live with voting with trash that does this?
Republicans have nothing better to do I guess than play juvenile games.
Obama really can't do anything right by you crazy rightwingers, can he? Even having a birthday draws criticism. What's next, slamming him for breathing air?
Childish. Disgusting. Hateful. Destructive. Let's face it – the list of adjectives to describe the GOP is endless! Funny, when Dubya was "appointed" to the White House in 2000, those of us who cried foul were told "....it's time to stop the arguing and get behind our President...". Where's that sentiment now??! This party will stop at
nothing to disparage this president & administration, even if it means forfeiting the pride and integrity of this nation. It's a sad state of affairs ...
I noticed that the GOP STILL doesn't have any new ideas
