Palin says Obama 'in flux', suggests he wasn't properly vetted

'I think he's in over his head,' former governor Palin said of the president.
'I think he's in over his head,' former governor Palin said of the president.

(CNN) – Former Republican vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin is not letting up in her constant drumbeat of criticism directed about President Obama.

After saying Sunday that Arizona's female Republican governor has more "cojones" than Obama when it comes to immigration and border security, Palin suggested Wednesday night that the 44th president is still trying to figure out his governing philosophy.

Later: Palin an 'expert' in not being vetted, DNC says

Asked about a narrative – which is a persistent theme particularly in Republican and conservative circles – that Obama is too weak when it comes to issues like national security and immigration, Palin shared her insights on Fox News Channel about why she believes Obama is not doing more to secure the borders.

"I think he's quite complacent," the former Alaska governor said. "And I think he's in over his head. And I think he has poor advisers around him. And I think he's really in flux kind of when it comes to what his governing philosophy actually is. Some of this though is a result of he not having much experience and then a complicit media and maybe some voters who chose to not to allow him to be vetted very closely.

"It's a combination of things that's resulting in a president who's not taking a strong stand on those things that are the will of the people. Obviously, the will of the people is to enforce the laws that we have on the books."

During the interview, Palin also defended her recent use of "cojones," a Spanish term for male reproductive organs that can also be used as slang for "nerve" or "boldness."

In the context of enforcing the country's immigration laws, Palin said Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer's "doing the right thing and our president lacks the guts to do anything about it."

And Palin took the opportunity to highlight a political setback for one of Obama's signature legislative accomplishments since taking office.

In a primary earlier this week, Missouri voters dealt a blow to the heart of Democrats' health care bill. More than 70 percent of Missouri primary voters Tuesday cast ballots in favor of Proposition C. The measure would allow state residents to opt out of mandatory health insurance, a key part of the new health care law, which was pushed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. The proposition prohibits the federal government from requiring that individuals have health insurance or penalizing people for not having such insurance.

Pointing to the successful ballot measure, Palin said Missouri voters had shown Obama how they felt about health care reform signed into law earlier this year.

"The Show Me State showed Obamacare the door yesterday," said Palin.

Palin was invented by the media. Period. If no one had looked at her when she was governor of Alaska no one still would be looking for her. She isn't qualified to assess Obama's performance on anything, cripes the soft ball, what books has she read" is some sort of "gotcha journalism" and I am sick to death of the MSM continuing coverage of her. She has no credibility on anything! So you ignore the people who do have credibility and give this incompetard more by reporting on her? Where is CNN's standards, do they exist? She doesn't make news, she comments on news and then the doofu-ii's at CNN report on it like it was a freakin revelation. They need to stop reporting on her because she has nothing of any newsworthiness to say other than lining her pockets.

Sarah, if you know so much about running the United States, why were you not elected the President/Vice President (either one) of the United States. People saw that you are the most none informative, uneducated, you are a walking disaster. Even my grand daughter doesn't have to write notes on the palm of her hand to know what she is talking about. You are a true embarrassment to the United States. Go back to Alaska and shoot some moose. Something that you are good at doing.

Jesus, stop reporting every thing this woman says. She's an unemployed resident of Alaska. Who cares what she thinks?

Ok.. so the village id, who abandoned her post from high up on her perch (where she could see Russia – Hence, foreign policy experience), can't seem to leave this president alone..

Thus, winding up her Teabags time and time again.. drawing inferences?

If Sarah Palin had finished her job in Alaska, she might have room to talk about "cojones". As it is she is nothing more than a annoying gadfly.

Sarah Palin's answer on fox news sounded a lot like a beauty contestant in a pageant. "I think that I want world peace, and I think that our leaders are not good, and I think I am going to give recess to everyone if I become President".

THANK YOU PRESIDENT OBAMA. We are significantly better off than we were two years ago when you took the keys away from Bush and Cheney. The restaurants here in Michigan are full again. People are spending money again. The auto companies are profitable again. The banks are no longer in crisis. The housing values are slowly rising again. Thank GOD Palin got nowhere near the White House in 2008. WE SUPPORT YOU PRESIDENT OBAMA. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Yes, its a shame how badly they treated poor Sarah. "So what do you read to help form your opinions?" "Oh, um everything" "But specifically?" "Oh, you know, everything, whatever they put in front of me" "Ok but name just one publication" "Um, I can't....ooooohhh I hate the 'gotcha media'!"

This is utterly absurd. That this woman enjoys the level of influence that she has over conservatives speaks volumes about the general level of intelligence and education of the GOP faithful. She is nothing more today than she was in high school – a glorified cheerleader. The woman uses words that don't exist. She regularly makes statements that evidence a profound lack of understanding of both the constitution and the body of precedent interpreting it. If this is not a shining example of the pot trying to call the kettle black, then I don't know what is.

@SLM – Actually, if the media had grilled Obama on the same topics as they grilled Palin, like the interactions of our various branches of government, or the US constitution, or the role of the executive, or his knowledge of supreme court precedents, Obama, being himself a Harvard Law Grad and a former constitutional law professor, would have provided cogent, well informed answers.

Contrary to what you conservative lapdogs believe, Palin making a fool of herself on national television has nothing to do with media bias. It has everything to do with her total lack of any understanding of the Constitution and the operation of the federal government. To make the statement that she is more qualified than Obama is utterly preposterous. The highest degree she has received is a bachelors in communications from the University of Idaho. How in the name of all things holy does that render her more qualified than someone who has a bachelors degree in political science with a focus on international relations from Columbia University, and subseqently graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School?

What if the news media, excluding Fox of course, were to stop reporting the idiotic remarks that flow like bitter water from this fool's mouth?

I don't understand why they continue to give the half-governor of Alaska any ink. Or pixels. She is an idiot with a good hair burner and nothing else.

"If the media had grilled Obama half as much as they did Palin"

Anyone who wants to be our president, has "written" 2 books, has read zero books and cannot even mention ONE magazine where reads, becomes a lightning rod for grilling.

Not only is this guy way over his head, there are no "advisers" who can throw him a life preserver.

To protect the country from his incompetence, we need a major revolution in voting patterns this fall.

Hopefully, citizens are now waking up to this nighmare and will elect a congress that can undo some of his socialist legislation and start this country back on the road to recovery.

I'm so sick of reading and seeing Sarah Palin. This woman has NOTHING of value to add. I am a republican and not a huge fan of Obama but I have to wonder why she is still around. We all know she hopes to run for president one day. Why would I vote for someone that quit the last important job she had. She sounds ridiculous everytime she speaks. With her lack of speaking skills, irritating voice, and family issues, she'd be considered a trashy red neck here in the south. Wait, that's an insult to rednecks everywhere. I take it back.

I love this woman. She is afraid of nobody. She calls it as it is. "Can take a man out of Chicago, but cannot take Chicago out of a man...." Michelle Malkin (another strong independent woman's voice).

Obviously she is the one who was not properly " vetted"..If she was, then maybe we would have found out that she really knows nothing and would have been sparred her constant whinning !!!! For those of you criticizing Palin, this isn't about her and if your only defense is to criticize the speaker, then obviously you are saying she is right.

Which she is by the way.

(Palin still has no justification to be president or VP for that matter, but she does have more cajones than obama).

Let me get this straight: SHE is saying that HE wasn't properly vetted? This woman who didn't know Africa was a continent and still couldn't answer what the role of the VP was 3 days before the election? I think Palin could be struck by lightning any time now.

Obama attended Harvard law school and graduated near the top of his class. Sarah Palin attended five colleges to obtain a single BA degree. Sarah Palin quit after a year and ahalf as governor of Alaska, was she in over her head? America found out just how dumb this woman is after she was selected by McCain to be his Vice Presidental running mate. She bumbled and fumbled over the simplest questions. Palin had numerous ethic issues as governor of Alaska. How effective was Palin"s parenting skills in guiding her teenage daughter through her teen years? Apparently like all of her other endeavors, not very effective. With all of her criticism of Obama, she has never once offered any solutions to any problems. There is a reason for that. She is as dumb as ice.
