(CNN) - Christina Romer has resigned as head of President Barack Obama's Council of Economic Advisers to return to her teaching post at the University of California, the White House announced Thursday night.
Good move you don't seem to be giving verygood advise anyway.
A Berkeley Liberal bites the dust. It's just as well. She did nothing while she was there.
Rats bailing off a sinking ship before they get caught in the traps.
Romer is an economics professor and until now has been able to pass on the lies about odumbo's economic policy. I guess she has finally decided she cannot look at herself in the mirror anymore and was tired of all the lying to cover that idiot in chief.
Bush, Bush, Bush
Oh i was just blaming Bush!
Poor Obama nothing has worked so its back to the 2008 campaign.
In our local paper Obama is quoted as saying.....
"In a statement, Obama said Romer provided "extraordinary service to me and our country" in a time of economic crisis."
Notice Obama says "me" before "country" Yet another example of self before nation. It's ALWAYS Obama first and everyone and everything comes second. What a disgrace of a president. Puts himself first before our nation.
Wow! One whole sentence. This is one of Obama's most important advisers and you have one sentence on it. Try not to strain yourselves.
shame on him. get a grip. when Bush took over from Clinton, the dot.com bubble was BURSTING BAD. Bush didn't use Clintonism's about the failing economy. then came 911. and you know what? bush stepped up to the plate. poor barry, he can't figure out WHAT to do after almost 2 years, so he just keeps blaming bush. if only bush had done that. bush was a real man/president. within 9 months he had a failing bursting dot.com economy ontop of the USA's worst world disaster of terrorism. he did pretty well.
Barry got an oil spill in the gulf and couldn't even find himself down there to help for a month. even after that he kept about 10k folks out of jobs b/c he just ignored it. bush was always, "johnny on the spot!" barry should have had a few more years in school – maybe got a business MBA. just saying
Goolsby sounds good to me. By the way, it is not just a teaching position.
A Berkley Professor from the most liberal college in America on the Obama economic team??? I wonder if Obama will find someone more liberal and pro tax/anti business than Romer. Didn't report that did ya CNN?
It is time for her to go. She was not as competent for this. Be in classroom does not qualify her a good member of the Economic Advisers. It was a mistake. Good luck, Mrs Romer for your teaching job
Big deal you make it sound like she quit because she was mad. Don't you guys get tired of distorting the news. She wants to go back to teaching. Cnn sounds more like fox every day with the inflamitory headlines and all the stupid Palin stories. Try reporting some real news.
It's about time he came out swinging
Bush is the most feared word to a republican (aka domestic terrorist)
If anyone thinks Bush was good then vote republican and watch our country die
If he was good then why is he not speaking to a their fundraisers?
Obama is pathetic calling Bush out for current problems. Who's the president??? Nobody.
Thats too bad she is very smart and very capable, she was key during the stimulus debate and did a fabulous job, and for that all of America should be eternally grateful
I cannot tell you how badly this is needed by President Obama and the Democrats up for re-election. If you believe the spiel from the Republican/Tea party, this administration nor the Democratic Congress has done nothing right since day one.
While I harbor no ill feelings towards President Bush, it was his policies along with the Republican party that brought us to this economic place, that a lot of conservative Americans seems to have forgotten.
what exactly was her job?
Is she important enough to be the scapegoat for Obama's economic foolishness?
The fish stinks from the head.
