Update: Palin an 'expert' in not being vetted, DNC says

The DNC's response to former Gov. Palin Thurssday was reminiscent of questions about her background that were raised immediately after she debuted as Sen. McCain's running mate in 2008.
The DNC's response to former Gov. Palin Thurssday was reminiscent of questions about her background that were raised immediately after she debuted as Sen. McCain's running mate in 2008.

Washington (CNN) – A day after former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin suggested that voters had not allowed President Obama to be sufficiently scrutinized before putting him into the Oval Office, the Democratic National Committee is firing back and calling Palin "an expert in not being vetted."

In an appearance on Fox News Wednesday night, Palin essentially said Obama is not up to the task of holding the nation's highest office.

"I think he's quite complacent," the former Republican vice presidential hopeful said. "And I think he's in over his head. And I think he has poor advisers around him. And I think he's really in flux kind of when it comes to what his governing philosophy actually is. Some of this though is a result of he not having much experience and then a complicit media and maybe some voters who chose to not to allow him to be vetted very closely."

In a statement e-mailed to CNN, the DNC turned the tables on Palin, who had faced questions about the vetting process used by the Sen. John McCain's campaign to help select her in 2008.

"While former half-term governor Palin is certainly an expert in not being vetted, we put our trust in the judgment of the American people who rejected not only the broken policies she and Republicans continue to call for, but also this very kind of childish politics she continues to engage in," DNC national press secretary Hari Sevugan said. "What's been fully vetted and thoroughly rejected by the American people is the failed approach in tone and substance offered by Sarah Palin and her ilk."

Speaking last year, A.B. Culvahouse, the attorney tasked with leading the vetting process for McCain's running mate, said he thoroughly scrutinized Palin and "came away impressed."

Culvahouse also suggested that McCain had been attracted to the risks associated with picking Palin.

"I said, John, high risk, high reward," Culvahouse told an audience last year. "His response: you shouldn't have told me that. I've been a risk-taker all my life."

McCain's camp must have let her through after she winked at John and he rubbed her thighs. You know how John-boy loves good-looking women, he forgot all about her brains. That is the only way that I can see that the McCain camp accepted her.

DNC you finally found your mouth to defend OUR DULY ELECTED AMERICAN PRESIDENT BARCK HUSSEIN OBAMA!

You sat quietly and meekly by while every nitwit, half-term governor, and self-appointed idiot-in-charge defamed and disrespected the hardest working president this country has EVER had. It was left to us, the same people that elected him to do that aspect of your job ALSO. It is thus extremely gratifiying to see you, at least this once, find your voice in defense of this man, and consequently your Party and the Americans that voted him in.

We've been wondering for quite some time now DNC, why you would allow the "'tards", the chumps in the "playground" to bully you around. You have SOOO MUCH AMMUNITION against these idiots; continue to use it.

So....Hari Sevugan of the DNC is admitting that Palin and Obama are both the same, since Obama was only a half Senator, and since Palin knows what someone not properly vetted looks like?

Maybe old Hari should think before he trashes opponents.

    Sarah Palin is a JOKE!!!

This woman puts shame to everything she is, mother, politician, govern and so called "spokes person: for RNC.

Her "house" was a mess before she was pulled from the dirt. Everything I said would happen with this woman his, especially the Bristol/Levi stunts. They were never going to get married NEVER, NEVER, NEVER. And then to come out this second time, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, heck he was playing it close with Griffin. He likes women not little girls. Everything she is doing now is azz backwards of the way it should have been done, if her mother was paying attention. And someone tell why everytime we see this family, the little sister is holding the Trigg and the father is standing back there like some sort of "duh"? Hold your own child, you are the daddy aren't you TODD?

    OMG, WTFIGO!!!!!

    – "While former half-term governor Palin..." -

Score! Ridiculous that she says she's not a quitter yet sure chickened out and quit before serving even a single term for a state that receives more federal welfare than any other U.S. state. It's also quite telling that she squacks and whines about gay marriage yet doesn't utter so much as a peep over domestic abuse and rape (the latter of which Alaska again leads the nation in).

    Pathetic.

And Mrs. Palin, exactly what experience do you have which allows you to comment on ANYONE in the office of the President of the United States? You can't even complete your term in office as Governor of Alaska. You can't even put two words together coherently. Please shut up.

Coming from the one person who is TRULY unqualified to hold any public office.

If Sarah truly felt she had something to offer the nat'l political discourse, she wouldn't confine her appearances and comments to Fox . She panders and speaks to those who, like she, despise truth, fact, science and common sense.

Talk on Sarah, and please, PLEASE, run against Mr. In-Over-His-Head in 2012...

If this is the best and brightest you have, your country is in deep, deep trouble, she good for entertainment value only.

You have much bigger problems to worry about. Your country is nearly bankrupt and you are fighting amongst yourselves, it's actually quite sad.

Your tea parties claim you are over taxed, what a joke. Try living in Canada where we are taxed nearly 50 %. Our tax freedom day falls at the end of June, probably more due to the HST and eco fees that started July 1st.

I am glad that people are fighting back at this quiet governor. She is a disgrace to the american people. It sure is a shame that her parents brought her up this way. Of course if the people of Alaska would not of voted her in as governor we would not have to hear all the lies and hate that comes out of her mouth. She is the one that got this country in an uproar, starting with her hate rallies she had and people carrying guns to a presidential even. Then dont for get the death panel episode that she started. Even going to China and putting down the president and the US from a speech that was written for her and she could not read correctly. I hope that will be Gods will no to ever let this moron get near the White House.

First: Want to see in over one's head? Check out the republicans voting no on a bill that would provide Healthcare to our nation's 9/11 HEROS because it also closed a TAX LOOPHOLE for corporations. How Patriotic.

Secondly: Why does anyone take Palin seriously? Let us count the ways why you shouldn't:

    1)Bridge to Nowhere
    2) Secession
    3) Quits before Corruption charges are fully levied against her

    Thats plenty for now.

I knnow that my commentswill never get posted because they never do.
These last two years have be very difficult. I voted for President Obama because I thought that he would be a great President. President Obama has done so much to bring some respect back to this country but because we believe so much in the freedom of speech, we allow the evilness of a woman like Sarah Palin to speak with such shame towards the highest ranking Officers of this country.
I cannot remember in my life time that the news media have allowed this type of news to be printed regarding the President of the United States.
The America of today stands for hatred. I can only imagine what the rest of the world thinks of us.

Bristol Palin has called off her engagement to Levi Johnston, People Magazine reported Tuesday.

"It's over. I broke up with him," Bristol Palin told People Magazine. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told the magazine her daughter has learned a valuable lesson: "to trust but verify."

Sara Palin needs to spend so time with her mixed up teenager before she get knock up again.
