Obama to GOP: I'm pretty good at politicking, remember?

(CNN) - President Barack Obama warned Republicans on Monday that he is back in campaign mode.

In a fundraising speech in Austin, Texas, Obama complained that while his administration has been governing the country since January 2009, Republicans have been trying to obstruct progress.

"There has been a fundamental lack of seriousness on the other side," Obama said. "We've spent the last 20 months governing; they have spent the last 20 months politicking."

In reference to the upcoming November congressional elections, Obama said: "Well, we can politick for three months. They forgot I'm pretty good at politicking."

Again Obama lets his partisan perspective get in the way of his job. The Republicans have been very serious when they have not signed on to his big government free spending agenda. I only wish that he would take time out from bashing the previous administration and celebrating his historic 2008 victory to realize they really do disagree on the issues.

Sorry to be the bearer of tough news but it's not all about you, President Obama. It's about the issues and what is best for America. It may be too late when you realize that.

Orlando Patriot – Perhaps, and just perhaps, you really believe in the cooked up numbers you presented to us as the reasons why you're right.
In that case you are hopelessly delusional.
Or perhaps you think that no one but you knows that there's something called 'Google' and therefore you can throw any 'fact' as if it's 100% True without bothering to have yourself exposed as a liar...
Well, if that's the case you failed miserably man...

I think Obama is doing a great job, especially considering the complete lack of support from Republicans, their clear attempts to diminish him and his successes, and the mess left by Republicans as a result of "W".

The complete and chronic dishonesty, lack of transparency, refusal to work together to resolve the ills of our country and hypocrisy consistently engaged in my national Republicans will make it impossible for me to ever vote Republican again in a national election.

I've got news for all you Limbaugh worshippers here. The economy will NOT improve until there is 'product' is IN demand. No person or business will hire untill there is DEMAND for product. (Product herein defined includes service and generally speaking, ther are always exceptions). Currently the money is moving between the WEALTHY and the WEALTHY businesses. Furthermore, certain entities are getting even more rich as a result of this economic collapse. Many of which NOT ethically so AND in a counter-productive mannor towards middle-class job creation. Remember folks, Limbaugh and Associates are getting RICH while the middle class is getting MORE poor.

This guy is an idiot. The American people are not looking for a president who is good at "politicking". We are looking for a president who actually understands the issues we are facing and is working in a constructive and bipartisan way to resolve the issues. This guy has never left the campaign trail. He certainly has not goverened in a positive and productive fashion; and certainly not in a way that aligns with what the American people want!!

For all of you who can so easily criticize this President, you must not remember what was going on in this Country eighteen months ago and the legacy he was handed the day he took the oath of office. We were losing 600,000 jobs per month; the stock market was in free fall; the projected budget deficit for the fiscal year stood at $1.3 trillion; and our GDP was declining by 2.5% per quarter. Our economy is now growing again. The stock market has gone up over 60% and companies are making money again. Private sector jobs have grown for the last 7 months. The budget deficits the President inherited are continuing and unemployment is too high, but I never expected that he could fix the mess in just 18 months. We are lucky to have Obama leading this nation and we need to thank God every day that our future isn't dependent on John McCain and Sarah Palin.

" I only wish that he would take time out from bashing the previous administration and celebrating his historic 2008 victory to realize they really do disagree on the issues."

Normal, intelligent, progress-oriented discourse would go something like this:

    Obama: Blah blah blah.
    GOP: No! We disagree!
Obama: Ok, well, what's your alternative?
GOP: Suggestions, alternatives, facts, evidence, expert opinions, etc.

Instead, what we get is this:

    Obama: Blah blah blah.
    GOP: No! We disagree!
Obama: Ok, well, what's your alternative?
GOP: Same thing we always say even though we've been trying it for 30+ years and it has been proven by facts and evidence and expert analysis not to work! Ideology, demogoguery, corporatocracy, tax cuts...fear, resentment, anger, bigotry...class-warfare on the middle-class on the theory that if they are impoverished and all money is given to the already-wealthy, the middle-class will somehow magically become wealthy too! Don't pay attention to all that empirical evidence from the past several decades...we're giving out shiny new tinfoil hats!

AMEN President Obama! Democrats have been delivering solutions for the People all year – over 200 laws. What have Republicans done – vote NO on everything. It was never a policy difference but a political game for them for America to fail. As RNC Steele just said "All Republicans care about is winning". How true. No leadership, No solutions. No concern about the People. No help with recovery..NO NO NO.
Let's use our NO vote in NOvember and rid Congress of these unAmerican Republicans.

The American political system is so different from other countries. In America--THE PRESIDENT IS USELESS UNLESS BOTH PARTIES AGREE ON ISSUES THAT THEY CAN BOTH GET CREDITS FROM. THE PRESIDENT CANNOT DO ANYTHING. ONLY CONGRESS AND SENATE HAVE THE POWER TO DECLARE VICTORY ON ISSUES IF THEY BOTH AGREE. HE HAS THE POWER TO VETO SOME BILLS BUT IS VERY LIMITED.
