TRENDING: Palin response to viral video raises brows

(CNN) - Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is responding to a YouTube video that shows her and her eldest daughter, Bristol, engaged in a spirited debate with a woman standing in front of a banner that reads: "Worst Governor Ever."

On her Facebook page, Palin reacts under a post titled "There You Go Again, LSM." She says the media (LSM is her abbreviation for the "lame stream media") is spinning the video of the encounter into something it is not. Palin lashes out at claims she rolled her eyes at the woman when she identified herself as a teacher.

"Yes, it's come to this: the media is now trying to turn my eyebrow movements into story lines. (Maybe that's why Botox is all the rage – if you can't move your eyebrows, your 'eye rolling' can't be misinterpreted!)" Palin writes.

Filming part of her Alaska documentary in Homer, Alaska, Palin writes she "had a brief discussion with a local lady who, in typical Alaska style, decided to give me her two cents worth about my political leanings, American politics in general, and much else besides."

In the video, the protester says to Palin, "You swore on your precious bible that you would uphold the interests of this state and then, when cash was waved in front of your face, you quit."

Palin immediately says, "Oh you want me to be your governor! Thank you."

"No," the woman responds, "I wanted you to honor your responsibilities."

As for the terse political discourse, Palin writes "It's what makes our politics so uniquely democratic: two people discussing the things they care about, even though they respectfully disagree about just about everything."

With all the vitriol spewed at her by the loony left, she must be doing something right!

rolling your eyes and being sarcastic isn't respectful – and if you are so into protecting the Constitution, why are your goons trying to block the person video taping and then let them tear down the sign? You quit the governorship and have done nothing to advance AK, you are a celebrity (along the lines of Paris Hilton and Joe the Plumber....)

Palin is so unprofessional! She obviously makes a face and rolls her eyes when she learns the woman is a teacher. It's obvious Republicans hate teachers.

As someone with a degree in communications and started her career as a reporter, albeit sports, Sarah Palin she little to no respect for journalists. Why wouldn't people think she's disrespectful to a teacher. as she, Palin, has no respect for people smarter than her. And that sure is a lot of people.

Sarah Misdirection is at it again. The point of the video was not her eyebrows but that the schoolteacher called Palin out for quitting as Alaska governor.

  7. Rolling her Lies

I saw the video and read the story. It seems like Palin just can't tolerate criticism or opposing views. She and her crew (and goons) leave a lot to desire.

How about Freedom of Speech Sarah? Are you opposed to that to if it's someone else speaking?

Thank God for Palin. If not for Palin, we might be in war with Iran already. If not for Palin, Republicans would never have rediscovered fiscal conservatism. Palin gives Republicans a chance to talk about fiscal conservatism, now they are out of power. We all know what would happen if Republicans regain power. They would cut taxes for the rich and give tax breaks to big corporations, which would then ship jobs overseas. This would also solve the illegal immigration problem, because there would be no jobs for illegal immigrants either.

Well sorry Palin, but I've seen the video and you did in fact roll your eyes. I can see why you would roll your eyes at a teacher though. They've clearly never been of any use to you.

It's always funny how Palin (and conservatives in general) will blast the media whenever they see something they don't like. It's always spin and they just deny, deny, deny.

The woman in the video was right on. Sarah Palin is a quitter who rolled out of her responsibilities when she saw she could make a lot of money. I would actually be impressed if this dolt could, for once, just take some responsibility instead of coming back with her usual rambles.

The truth about this fraud and loser is slowly but surely starting to come out. Am sure there will be more revelations in the future. So much money, so little class.

Sarah – have you watched the video? If you can't see the "eye rolling" you need some new glasses.

What a Joke! I am truly astonished at the people who think she is worthy of anything in the realm of responsible political discourse,it's almost impossible to embarass the republican party but she does come close.

It is so sad how the LSM and the liberals live off of every movement or word that comes out of Palin's mouth.

So whats to spin it was a good debate. The woman was disappointed she stepped down and Palin explained why she did. I can't believe the looney left media making a big deal out of it. If she thinks Palin is a celebrity than Obama is an Oscar winner. hahaha

Anyone who looks at that video can clearly see Palin roll her eyes in disgust at the lady when she says she's a teacher. Palin's bald-faced lie to try to cover up her disgust is outrageous.

Come on LSM, let's be fair to Sarah, after all she is an idiot.

I want sarah to be able to manage conflict in a respectful way, instead of with her sarcasm. Even the Legislators and Governors who are visible take a more diplomatic tack with the media. We can also call them lame or whatever we want, but we can expect to be their subject if we expose ourselves like Sarah does. It seems they were telling it like it happened.

Palin did roll her eyes, and gave her daughter a "look." I watched the video. Palin can't spin her body language, her mocking tone toward the woman and her refusal to actually address the questions the woman presented. Palin is pathetic.

It terrifies me that this teacher-hating elitist reality TV celebrity was a heartbeat away from the presidency.

  24. The Real Tom Paine

Repectfully disagree? Palin and her clique of rabid, ideologically-correct followers are incapable of respectfully disagreeing with anyone. They instead engage in a constant stream of personal abuse where they question the patriotism and humanity of their opponants (with a healthy dose of disbelief over their virility) in the hopes of dragging their opponants down to the sophmoric level they exist in, where high school has never really ended. They won't engage people ina respectful fashion because they are incapable of of controlling their hate, fear and anger. Being on the sideline and not having to offer real solutions makes it easy to hurl verbal and cyber drive-bys. Has she actually thought about whether or not her approach and her past actions will haunt or limit her, should she win election?

Is this what the GOP and the Tea Partiers really want? I would hope that someone hoping to have a major impact on our country would have a thicker skin than her. She is so obcessed with being in the limelight that she would abandon her state and her promises to the people of Alaska to engage in worthless commentary that does not offer solutions or ideas. Anger does not govern: ideas and the ability to enact them does. Her anger and arrogance in that video speak volumes about her in way her folksy sayings and non-sequiters could never.
