TRENDING: Palin response to viral video raises brows

(CNN) - Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is responding to a YouTube video that shows her and her eldest daughter, Bristol, engaged in a spirited debate with a woman standing in front of a banner that reads: "Worst Governor Ever."

On her Facebook page, Palin reacts under a post titled "There You Go Again, LSM." She says the media (LSM is her abbreviation for the "lame stream media") is spinning the video of the encounter into something it is not. Palin lashes out at claims she rolled her eyes at the woman when she identified herself as a teacher.

"Yes, it's come to this: the media is now trying to turn my eyebrow movements into story lines. (Maybe that's why Botox is all the rage – if you can't move your eyebrows, your 'eye rolling' can't be misinterpreted!)" Palin writes.

Filming part of her Alaska documentary in Homer, Alaska, Palin writes she "had a brief discussion with a local lady who, in typical Alaska style, decided to give me her two cents worth about my political leanings, American politics in general, and much else besides."

In the video, the protester says to Palin, "You swore on your precious bible that you would uphold the interests of this state and then, when cash was waved in front of your face, you quit."

Palin immediately says, "Oh you want me to be your governor! Thank you."

"No," the woman responds, "I wanted you to honor your responsibilities."

As for the terse political discourse, Palin writes "It's what makes our politics so uniquely democratic: two people discussing the things they care about, even though they respectfully disagree about just about everything."

Love the eye-roll when the woman tells you she's a teacher, Sarah. This is what a real "elitist" looks like, folks.

Truth be told. Palin froze like a deer in headlights so much so that her daughter had to step in and save her. Now you know why she quit her job in Alaska. It took Bristol to get an intelligent response...

Now 'Palin' responds on facebook...who is to say it is not a ghost writer? Afterall, she failed miserably on camera.

Did Palin think she was only representing those that elected her in Alaska? Apparently so with such a snide comment about her quitting her job.

While seeing her in Georgia today stumping for gubernatorial candidate Karen Handel in Georgia, she and Handel both spoke charismatically and yet said absolutely nothing. At least when Gingrich speaks, he can articulate policies he believes in and why he thinks they are good ideas. Whether I agree or not, a candidate who cannot speak in clarity about those issues which they claim to care deeply about is not one which I or any intelligent person will ever vote for... Democrat or Republican.

Palin is truly the American Queen who wore no clothes. Just how long will it take for her minions of devoted followers to figure out that she has no real intellect and is only capable of reading a script.... but not writing it.

Sarah Palin you are always and will continue to be a joke.

Your mode of operation is always to run when the heat is on.

Why is it okay to still keep attacking the President.

Sarah if you can't stand the heat, then stay out of the kitchen the election is over, you are still a sore looser.

Proud of her ignorance. The worse kind of American.

I love how she tries to use the Ronald Reagan "There you go again." With all of her speech writers couldn't she have come up with something original? I mean even if she couldn't have remembered it she could have at least written something new on her hand.

Without the "lame stream media", Sarah, you would be nothing more than a one term hick governor from Alaska. Or at best, a political joke.

The Lame Stream Media has allowed you to line your pockets

    She did roll her eyes.

Yet again, none of her actions are her fault.

Damn, this act is so boring.

Women always had a role in changing the face of the earth positively. We are profound, we hold great potential for gaining cultural and political power. Woman look for a peaceful reign if we hold power. However, we find ourselves with a negative feminine image, Sarah Palin, she might feel empowered, successful, but does not have a peace of mind. When a woman is really successful in every level does not act the way she does (and you all know how she acts). Her body language, her tone of voice, her shallow rhetoric, her ignorance, and her lack of transparency show everywhere she goes.
It is not easy to criticize another woman, anyone can make mistakes, but she is despicable.

Sorry Sarah. Anyone who watches the video can absolutely tell that you rolled your eyes at this woman.

I think if you weren't rolling your eyes then your eye rolling wouldn't be misinterpreted. You don't, by the way, roll your eyes with your eyebrows.

Whether or not she rolled her eyes at this woman, the sarcasm from the statement "Oh you want me to be your governor! Thank you." was very distasteful. And all Palin could say was some rubbish about freedom of speech? Who's threatening to take away old white America's freedom of speech? Isn't that who she "represents" anyways?

Sorry, Sarah, that "look" spoke volumes and it was very condesending! The woman was spot on with your motives – attention and money! You scream honesty and Christain values and then lie through your teeth.

She always comes across as so condescending. Listening to her "discuss" politics with that woman was like hearing a 12 year old child argue. When asked how she fights for the country in that video all she says is that she is trying to get candidates that understand the Constitution elected candid and protecting military interests to fight for the constitution for the country and freedom... she never actually says anything! It is the same tired rhetoric she has espoused for the last two years. What a lot of nonsense. She doesn't even understand the document herself. Very few of our politicians do. Palin also acts as if she doesn't think of herself as a celebrity. Clearly not since she is doing a reality television show showing off the state she governed for a half a term.

New level of stupidity by Sarah Palin – everyone can obviously see her rolling her eyes, yet she tries to deny it?

I guess when you're Palin, eye-rolling is the knee-jerk response when confronted with someone smarter than yourself but who lacks the support of a crazed horde of gun-happy fundamaniacs.

"They laugh because they know they're untouchable,
Not because what I said was wrong"

Caribou Barbie was clearly caught off guard in the video. Her response "OH So you still want me to be governor" is a sign of her inability to comprehend the painfully obvious. That she could only respond with empty statements of faux-patriotism that made her comments to Katie Couric sound intelligent is proof enough she cannot talk to people without being thoroughly coached beforehand. I also appreciated the attempt by one of her troupe to block the camera from filming.

Palin is ignorant, poorly educated, has a very limited vocabulary and is most likely a person who's inteligence approaches the mean or less. She is trivial.

Palin falls back on religion as as a defence for things that she cannot defend using logic or history. Why must she always stick her BIG nose in others' busness having such a small experiential base.

What is really, really, really scarey about Palin is that she keeps shooting off her mouth and the sadeness is that some dumb bells listen to her.

The press should be ashamed of themselves for giving her sooooo much press time when there is more important news to report
