TRENDING: Palin response to viral video raises brows

(CNN) - Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is responding to a YouTube video that shows her and her eldest daughter, Bristol, engaged in a spirited debate with a woman standing in front of a banner that reads: "Worst Governor Ever."

On her Facebook page, Palin reacts under a post titled "There You Go Again, LSM." She says the media (LSM is her abbreviation for the "lame stream media") is spinning the video of the encounter into something it is not. Palin lashes out at claims she rolled her eyes at the woman when she identified herself as a teacher.

"Yes, it's come to this: the media is now trying to turn my eyebrow movements into story lines. (Maybe that's why Botox is all the rage – if you can't move your eyebrows, your 'eye rolling' can't be misinterpreted!)" Palin writes.

Filming part of her Alaska documentary in Homer, Alaska, Palin writes she "had a brief discussion with a local lady who, in typical Alaska style, decided to give me her two cents worth about my political leanings, American politics in general, and much else besides."

In the video, the protester says to Palin, "You swore on your precious bible that you would uphold the interests of this state and then, when cash was waved in front of your face, you quit."

Palin immediately says, "Oh you want me to be your governor! Thank you."

"No," the woman responds, "I wanted you to honor your responsibilities."

As for the terse political discourse, Palin writes "It's what makes our politics so uniquely democratic: two people discussing the things they care about, even though they respectfully disagree about just about everything."

What's interesting is once the video hit youtube, she immediately blamed the "LSM" for portraying her in a bad light before any news outlets commented on the video. She seemed to already be prepared with a statement.

Funny, I didn't hear Palin say anything about the Sherrod video when everything was taken out of context. Once again she goes to her Facebook page like a 16 year old girl using 16 year old girl grammar defending her acting like a 16 year old.

I saw the video three times, and each time I was equally disguted with Palin's behavior. Watch her reaction after the woman tells Palin she is a teacher. It wasn't just rolling her eyeballs, she reacted as if teacher's were a joke, and less than her. Someone should tell her she is a failed politician, so she can stop pretending to be important.

Palin can't talk her way out of this one. Just watch the video, and see for yourself. She appears to be mocking the fact that this woman is a teacher. What is hilarious is that the woman is clearly FAR more intelligent than Palin, yet Palin thinks she is qualified to be President. EVERY teacher I have this semester at school is more intelligent, and more qualified to be President than this quitter/failure. She is a disgrace.

Did Palin make this response while reading it from a script that she wrote in the palm of her hand?

Some one needs to tell Sara Palin she makes her self look like a child when she response to every thing being said about her. She should let this one die down.

I'm not sure how this is a "Gotcha" moment by the media. The woman in the video was just voicing her displeasure about Palin quiting her job as governor. And what is Palin's response to this video .... Please ignore it because is it's the media making me look bad! Maybe she shouldn't have quit, because when she finally decides to run for President, she WILL be dogged by this exact question.

    GO PALIN GO!

These people still keep trying to knock her out. This is just dumb. She's not perfect but she's not the nut you guys make her out to be, either.

Palin's reaction to the woman, after she stated her profession, was indicative of her disdain for education and typifies the GOP's war on education. It's a party of know-nothings.

Sarah is too old to be talking to people that way. Heck, Bristol's too old to be talking to people that way. This is schoolyard posturing. What a brat.

WOW!! Just watched the video. Hmmm......FREE SPEECH but yet Sarah Palin and her daughter must feel free speech only applies when you agree with them. Then what does she do? She blames the media, the very media that is keeping her in the lime light. Hopefully that media will rethink covering her since she considers them lame.

Great video that shows the... um... Mama Grizzly as she is currently referring to herself, being taken down a notch and being to stupid to acknowledge that she is being insulted. Her debate style to to misunderstand the other person's argument... this is her entire persona.

Respectfully disagree? Until Palin's security team tore down the banner that was ON the woman's property in the name of "free speech"! And Todd kept trying to get in the way of the guy with his video phone. What a hypocrite! Palin talks about standing for the Constitution except when it gets in her and conservatives way.

God, I am so sick of hearing about herand now her "wonderful" daughter, get over it. She is just soaking all this up and making money over it, the Gov. that quit her job to get all this lime light. I can see why the younger generation doesn't even vote with all the B.S. going on. Enough is Enough.

The beauty of youtube is we don't have to rely on Mrs. Palin's or anyone else's interpretation of what happened. We can all see for ourselves. I would encourage people to do so.

the idea that this classless woman would even have a chance at the White House is just sad. Her children are beyond disrespectful, and she is a hypocrite. All she cares about is making a buck, and she will say or do anything to do that.

No wonder our President just announced a strong effort to bring America back to the educational standards we once held strong. How can anyone say they support SP with a straight face, she is a joke.

Will this woman EVER stop whining? It seems like all she does is constantly feel sorry for herself for real or imagined slights, yet she viciously dishes out the same stuff herself. Hey Sarah! How's that whiny, pity thingy workin'; out for 'Ya?? Drill baby drill! Spill! Spill! Spill! You betcha!
