Premiere date set for Palin reality show

Palin's reality show will begin in mid November.
Palin's reality show will begin in mid November.

(CNN) – Sarah Palin's much anticipated reality show will hit the airwaves next November, just days after the midterm elections when the political world begins to look toward the 2012 presidential race.

"Sarah Palin's Alaska" – the show that has been billed as a "Planet Earth-style" documentary about the state – will premiere at 9 p.m. November 14 on TLC, network president Eileen O'Neill said at the Television Critics Association press tour, according to the trade publication Broadcast and Cable.

Little is known about the show besides the fact it is being spearheaded by "Survivor" creator Mark Burnett.

A Palin source told CNN in April that the show "is not going to be focused on her family, or in her house, or in Wasilla."

Instead, it appears the state of Alaska will be as much the focus of the program as the former vice presidential nominee.

"It's become clear it takes a special individual to thrive in Alaska," O'Neill said.

Variety reported earlier this year Palin stands to receive upwards of $1 million an episode.

I wonder what they have planned for that time slot for the second half of the season when she up and quits halfway through like she has everything else...

The woman is a QUITTER! She turned her back on Alaska and now she's touting the state suddenly? Look for her to prepare moose stew or gunning down wolves from airplanes while wearing full make-up, gaudy jewelry, formal attire, and a pasted on smile. I'll watch the show for cheap entertainment and lots of laughs. It'll be like watching Tammy-Fay Bakker in her heyday all over again!

@ fair is fair – thanks for reposting my whole message. You are such a sweetheart – then again you are the one who needs pills if you think this woman is worthy of anything that has come her way since her "vetting" process.
@BJ – won't go there with your initials, but I think you probably do a lot of it watching this "successful, smar, independent (unless you mean the AK independent party), innovative (making up words), conservative (she HAD to get married and her daughter couldn't reel him in),.
She is a horrible mother and that eunuch of her husband is cashing in just in time because the older she gets and the more botox she needs the worse she will look and nobody is going to really stand that voice.
@fair is fair, guess you were right. I do despise this woman because she is a retarded airhead whom people like you worship. More wrong with youthan me. :)

Hope the grizzlies have Rolaids. She'll definately give them gas after they find her wandering around the woods with a map drawn on the palm of her hand.

  7. Refudiation

I hope Sarah includes Snookie and The Octomom on her show with Kate Gosselin. All those media addicts in one place, eating yellow snow! I'll watch for sure, but I won't refudiate anything because the federal death panel is on their way to unplug grandma.

    "hatefilled elitist comments"

If by "elitist" you mean someone who is not the least impressed by this money-grubbing, bigoted, ignorant, vapid, devisive, white-trash quitter . . . then, hey . . . ya got me!

Sarah Palin had to be one of the dumbest people trying to be in politics. What amazes me is the foolish people that are willing to follow her any where. That's what's scary. We have John McCain to thank for his desparate bid to win the White House and loosing the wack job on us.

"Planet Earth-style" show??? Has Palin seen that show? It's about SAVING the planet not drilling it to death!!!

But, I'm glad she has this reality show. It will forever keep her from being taken seriously in politics ever again.
And, for all of you living outside Los Angeles – it is widely known that her precious daughter was only engaged in order to try and get her own reality show going. And, when that didn't work out they called off the wedding.
That's the true nature of the 'family Palin' just in case anyone out there still believed they represent the good heart and values of America!

    BJ,
And you do not think that this woman is shallow? Professing Christianity and spewing hate and lies. Professing to be Presidential material and can't even put a half way decent sentence together. Dumping on the people of Alaska to make money while her fame is still hot. Not around enough to give her poor family the time of day, not even close to VP material but she slams the President every chance she gets, thought Christians were suppose to pray for those in authority over them, and not try to win brownie points with wack jobs that hate Obama. She disgusts most people, or at least those who know the facts and not just parrot fox news. She brings on all the negative comments by her dumb remarks and comments without telling the truth of the matter. She is toxic!

Is this a surprise to anyone? This is where she belongs – as a side show and not in any position that requires decision making skills.

    One million dollars per episode?

I think that she is a lot smarter than some people think. She quits her Governor gig without finishing a single term to accept big bucks to be on TV for Fox, put out a book, and now do this reality TV show. All the while
still shamming all of us that she is going to run for something. She won't run for anything. She'll keep hinting that she will be a player to inflate her commercial market price. But she will never actually run for anything. Pretty smart. She's going to be stinkin' rich.

The ratings will have to purposes. To measure her success and also the number of idiots like her in this country.

    A "Planet Earth-style" documentary?

I've seen Planet Earth. They deal with scientific subjects in an intelligent manner.

You can only fit so much stupidity and creationism into a show like that before it becomes unwatchable.

What's she going to say? "I don't believe most ot what the people on this show are saying, and I don't understand the rest"?

This seems like a ridiculously bad idea.
