Premiere date set for Palin reality show

Palin's reality show will begin in mid November.
Palin's reality show will begin in mid November.

(CNN) – Sarah Palin's much anticipated reality show will hit the airwaves next November, just days after the midterm elections when the political world begins to look toward the 2012 presidential race.

"Sarah Palin's Alaska" – the show that has been billed as a "Planet Earth-style" documentary about the state – will premiere at 9 p.m. November 14 on TLC, network president Eileen O'Neill said at the Television Critics Association press tour, according to the trade publication Broadcast and Cable.

Little is known about the show besides the fact it is being spearheaded by "Survivor" creator Mark Burnett.

A Palin source told CNN in April that the show "is not going to be focused on her family, or in her house, or in Wasilla."

Instead, it appears the state of Alaska will be as much the focus of the program as the former vice presidential nominee.

"It's become clear it takes a special individual to thrive in Alaska," O'Neill said.

Variety reported earlier this year Palin stands to receive upwards of $1 million an episode.

I suppose its okay for that show to be on TLC. Its been polluted for quite some time with similar crap that I do not want my children to watch. Maybe her Ideologies can be 'contained' there.

Would she do this show if she wasn't paid $1 million per episode? I doubt it. True Republican at heart – take all the money she can and run. Is she donating to any causes – like Down's Syndrome research? Teenage pregnancy? How to convert your husband from an Independent to a Republican? How to be a mom and raise your kids? How to teach her daughter to not follow in her footsteps and be paid to show the world her baby and her on again off again romance with "what's his name?"

I use to like you TLC but no more. You need to put really educational material and not white trash drama.

I hope that TLC doesn't edit so everyone can truly see what an idiot she is. I hope Burnett literally spearheads her.

And Bristol Palin broke off her engagement with Levi Johnston because she felt Levi was addicted to "the limelight?!" It seems to me he's been following her mother's example!

Take a look at recent video from Homer, AK where Sarah Palin professes to have a license to fish for halibut. Of course, her license is actually for Bristol Bay which is a very long way from Homer. And her husband is licensed to fish for salmon not halibut. But to Sarah Palin, details really don't matter and she has no respect for the truth. Anyway, a local teacher held up a large sign that identified Mrs. Palin as Alaska's Worst Governor and we get a good look at how "loopy" the Palins really are. Find Shannyn Moore: Just a Girl from Homer" to see the ordeal ...

Thanks a lot reality TV. Just another reason that confirms my believe that reality TV should be taken off the air forever.

  9. BOYCOTT TLC and ALL ITS ADVERTISERS

Does anyone have a list of advertisers who support this so-called "show"? I plan to boycott every single one, PERMANENTLY, unless this fiasco is stopped before it ever hits the air waves.

    TaDa!!!
After making $24 million off the unemployed followers of the TP
and GOP...our Lady Sarah once again reveals her true colors!
She's in it for the money, the celebrity and just doesn't have your
best interests at heart. In the entertainment industry there's a
phrase for folks like this, "Media Wh@re". And this pig is definitely
    in camera-ready lipstick!

    Sooooooweeeei!

What is she going to show exactly regarding Alaskia? How to boost tourism by hunting wolves and wildlife from a helicopter after they tire the poor animals from chasing them? She is definitely no spokesperson for ANYTHING much less have the common sense to make a complete sentence. Can we all get together somehow and permanently remove her from news, talkshows, etc. Then again, she's a perfect fit for FOX Opinions. Notice I didn't say news because it isn't.

Hey Fair is Fair don't pretend to speak for Alaskans! Especially since you aren't one! If the program is about Alaska then pay attention becasue half the people in this country could not survive up here.

Is "Mama Grizzly" going to be killing a mama grizzly and her cubs for the show? She certainly likes killing God's creatures. I suggest having her hop all over Alaska, killing as she goes. It is kind of funny that she wears a polar bear pin a lot. I think for her it would be best to put a hole with red blood dripping out of the polar bear for it to be believable from her. We know she hates polar bears, grizzlies, whales (she has fought any protection for whales in her state's waters, totally in the pocket of big oil), not too fond of moose, loves the shooting of wolves and their cubs and hey, she even supported the Canadians in clubbing baby seals (let's get a quick clip of her wailing away on one of those baby seals - most Republicans would LOVE that). Anyway, since she has fought to destroy the very uniqueness and irreplaceable beauty of Alaska and lined her own pockets with big oil money, hopefully the show will convey her utter lack of respect for the state :) Enjoy Republicans - I'm with Jilli, her voice is so grating and whiny and she is such a nasty person, I won't be watching.......

It won't work. The reason it won't work is because in the weeks before the election, Palin will still have to say a few things from her mind and answer a few questions that aren't in a television show script, and when that happens, we will all be slapping our knees and rolling around on the floor, and Tina Fey will sit there and do nothing but move her mouth in sync to Palin's actual words and tears will be pouring out of our eyes and we will have a hard time breathing... and man, I can't wait!!! Palin in 2012!!! YEEEESSSSS!!!!

  16. Gaylon Barrow NOT ASHAMED for the truth!!!

Listen all you idiot Obamanites. What makes you think that the majority of the country wants to listen to your continual jabbering like Zoo animals. I am fed up and tired of you degrading anyone who is not of your nature. So set down and shut the hades up. You just might see and learn what direction Obama is taking this country. It certainly is not back to wealth and honey for the classes.

Can't wait to watch it. Have been to Alaska several times, but have never witnessed a better voice for the state than this dedicated Alaskan who speaks from the solid viewpoint of middle America.

Break a leg, Sarah! You betcha!!!

I'm so sickened by this. I love Alaska, and Sarah, who I once admired, is basically sh*tting all over it. Alaskans are NOT all like her, most of us just wish she would go away. And now she's going to get even richer while most likely giving people the WRONG idea about the state I love.

A bunch of has been loser actors, politicans, muscians and self-absorbed people who think their lives are so interesting that they need to share with the world. Pathetic, how sadly to say our socieity feeds on this stuff. SAD!
